Are there definitely going to be extra points for the bank holiday?
No way to know for certain if it's definite, but I'm pretty sure it came from someone who is always right about sale dates. I'm more concerned if we know for certain that the initial offer price lasts until 5 May, as there's nothing to lose in waiting for an extra points weekend unless the sale price ends before then.0 -
I wonder why you can use the Rio on your upper lip and chin but not the Boots one??
I've started using the BSS on this area but only after buying special safety goggles and cool gel packs. I will not pay ipl salon prices again as this machine does the job. :TWhether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.2011 wins £12,2922012 wins ...Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A0 -
Where do you use it on your face?
Please keep us updated on how you get on. I know they do not recommend it but we must all make our own decisions.0 -

does anyone know why it says not to use when on your period? Is it just cos skin may be more sensitive or is there another reason? Thanks0

Thankyou lizzy for letting us know about this great product,i had a course of expensive ipl in the past and it did not work as good as the boots system.
I recieved mine on the 8th april and i cant believe how its worked, years of feeling like a werewolf and shaving my legs daily, already i shave twice a week and my skin is smooth and lots of bald patches,my arm hair is patchy, finer and lighter in colour.
I really dont think that this will stay at the £299 mark. Jem0 -
I've had my BSS since the end of Feb. I've done 7 sessions on my underarms and, apart from a few hairs that I've missed, I am now hair free! My bikini line is getting balder after 5 sessions and I can see lots of clear patches on my lower legs - I've only done four treatments on my legs so far. I only have to shave my legs just before the treatment as the hair growth is much slower and the hairs are lighter and softer - I used to have to shave every other day! It's much better than waxing as there are no ingrowing hairs, which I used to find a nightmare. The only disadvantage is the time it takes to do the legs - it tends to take me at least an hour to do both lower legs. Still it'll be worth the time commitment if it means I no longer have to shave or wax.
If you do go ahead and buy one make sure you buy plenty of packs of the gel - I'm already halfway through my third pack.0 -

I never started this thread it was Jap200 I bought mine because of following the thread. Only on my 3rd go so have yet to see major results, I think the growth slowing down though (except chin that I guess I shouldn't be doing anyway) I will keep at it though because 3 times is very early to tell.
I find the whole thing very fiddly and temperamental though and can't really wait until its over. Can't always get the light to come on and it switches itself off and you don't realise. It could do with a buzzer. :eek:0 -
I got the safety goggles/glasses from a health & safety merchant. They are thick plastic and were classed as suitable for stopping bright light particles getting near the eyes and ideal in a welding environment. So I thought that you can't get more extreme than that.
I'm using the BSS on the chin and upper lip, legs, underarms. I did have to take one machine back because of a malfunction with it (lights alternatly flashing, and non-responsive) but got a replacement. Hope I don't have the same problem again, & then if everywhere sells out!! Nightmare!!! :rolleyes:Whether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.2011 wins £12,2922012 wins ...Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A0
