Morning all
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAZI:beer:
Chrisca I hope your DGD is a little better today and will be out of hospital soon what a worry for her mum and dad
Not much to tell spent yesterday sorting out my mums affairs so she just needs to do some final calling round today and also i need to finish her washing
Tea tonight is sweet & sour chicken and rice noodles from the remains of yesterdays roast. Will be going out to collect Avon books with DD1 as she decided she needed to earn some money as she likes to go out with her friends quite a bit
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Morning all,
Quite a frosty start here but now the sun is out it looks lovely with blue skies, a perfect day for drying the sheets that are on the line. Plan to blitz bedrooms and bathrooms and vacume through. I'll do some batch baking as I'll be at DD2's decorating her bedroom and the nursery for the next few days.
Haven't done much in the way of curtain making, didn't feel like doing much y/day, still tired after the party we went to.
REVERBE, I don't think it was concience that made the rat return the parcel because if he had one he wouldn't have stolen it in the first place. I think the owner should try and make a claim against the PO because he had the expense of having to replace the missing ink.
MOGGINS, A new week a new start, go girl.
CSARINA, Wow the quilt is beautifull, what talent you have. I'm doing one for DGD but it's been on the back burner for a while.
PEYTON, Hope you feel better soon.
SNOWYOWL, Mmmmmm, your dream. To me it seems like you want to move on and achieve more but are blocked by things that are beyond your control. eg the hight bit is something no-one can change. As for being at knee height to every-one in the dream it maybe that your subconciousness it saying that you feel inferior to others and are lacking in confidence.
OR,,,,, you had a nightmare and dreampt you were one of the Crankies.
SMOKEY, You sound so possitive these days, how far you have come, I'm full of admiration for you.x0 -
Morning all.................(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.
A suuny but frosty morning here. OH is in the shower and we will be off to the lottie by 9.30am.........
This afternoon, if he is ok I might get the borders on the quilt, whilst I am on a roll, then I just have to layer it up and start to quilt it. I made is especially to practice and hone my machie quilting skills, normally I would hand quilt it, but my hands protesteth........
I check the bank yesterday just after 12 no money!!! OOOOOOOOPPPPPPSSSS Rang Lloyds to be told it was because it was a leap year WRONG yesterday was the first of March, the chap then started to waffle, I tld him to cut it out and tell me what was going on....he couldn't...However by 5.15 last night the cash was in, so still do not know what happened, but the Phone lines were read hot, so it wasn't just us.
House work put back to tomorrow we have someone coming to look at the carpet in the hall, sitting room and bedroom, all of which are developing black streaks......so will clean whilst I am waiting.
Coffee calls, see y'all later.

Morning all!
How is everyone on this fine Monday morning?
It's lovely and sunny here, definately makes a difference when it's nice weather outside, as it makes me wanna get up and do things, and go and make the most of the nice weather!
Signed up with the NAWT to help at the animal shelter yesterday. Had a look around and met some of the animals they currently have there. I must admit it bought a tear to my eye seeing them all caged up, waiting to be re-homed. I think I am going to have to toughen up volunteering there as I am gonna end up bringing all these animals home with me!
Deep cleaning the kids room today. Will soon be starting to do car boot sales again, so I am gonna be ruthless with the kids room to find stuff to sell, as they have too much stuff!
Also OS today I will be making a banana cake, sorting paperwork out, recycling, clean bathroom and a few other little chores.
Unsure what's for dinner at mo, something using leftover chicken from yesterdays roast.
Right off to do my exercise dvd!
Bye for now

Wow!
Jerusalem soup - roast bulb of garlic until squishy. soften in a tablespoon and oil and an oz butter a med onion and a leek (white bit only according to recipe) and a stalk of celery. Add one pound 9oz of jerusalem artichokes peeled and chopped, one small potato peeled and chopped and cook 10 mins more. Add 1.5 litres veg stock and simmer till soft, then puree.
Will post more later.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Today I intend to let little bear play a lot in his room (new rug with map on). I have no idea what I am going to do but I shall certainly do something. At the moment it is looking like I shall deep clean the kitchen. I also need to update my order from MrS.
I have run out of white vinegar, so I am desperate for fabric conditioner. I may try and hang on until the delivery rather than go to a local shop and actually buy fabric conditioner. I am a little annoyed with myself as I nearly bought some white vinegar when I visited Makro but decided against it
Chrisca - hope all is well!

Morning all,
Happy birthday Dazi:bdaycake:
OH gone alone to day hospital, very reluctant to go, will ring them and let them know that I think he is suffering from depression, they may be able to do something even if I can't....he might be more careful of offending them by turning them down if they suggest treatment of any kind.
Rain here to-day so no washing out, allegedly rain will be worse to-morrow...nice to know that....still I have my first daffodil in flower, to join the primroses, snowdrops, crocus and wallflowers(Really!) Garden needs a tidy up and there is a huge branch loose from the big sycamore at the bottom of the garden....don't think its a DIY job to get it down safely, hope that the whole tree doesn't have to come down.
Hope to finish the jacket for DGD1 to-day, have to take brother to airport at 12.30, that will take at least an hour....exact time will depend on traffic.
Chicken legs for dinner, not sure what I will do with them yet, maybe Nigella's recipe (ish) of chicken, veg and spuds all roasted for about an hour. Going out with cousin to-night for dinner, would really rather stay at home but she has been inviting me for ages...wants to treat me as I have done her a few small favours...more money than sense!
Hugs to all who couldn't sleep, rotten feeling, hugs also to anyone in need or want of one, have a good day

Morning all,
Well I am still feeling sorry for myself. Just as tonsilitis seems to be getting more bearable my back is sore again.....actually it is excruciatingly sore. I am sitting with a heat pad on it but it is not killing it and painkillers do nothing either (am already on paracetamol for tonsils and no nurofen left!).
Poor DS is having to entertain himself as too much pain to concentrate for long.
Anyway, hugs to all who need them (I did write a list to do specific messages but cannot sit here any longer to write, perhaps later!).

Morning Chums ,
sunny here in North Kent, just printed up my essay for college tonight, so am feeling quite chuffed with myself now :j ,fingers crossed it get accepted I spent about four hours slogging on it yesterday.Going to have a relaxing day today and do as little as possible, as my joints are a bit stiff .Probably means there rain on the way tomorrow, so I'd best get the WM on and stuff out on the line, but apart from that not much else to do.Early dinner tonight as its college. Think I may have a rummage in the freezer to see what I can conjour up. I was hoping I could run my freezer down a bit more but the stuff seems to be multiplying in there  .No shopping this week though if I can help it as I spent bundles at the Craft Fair on Saturday at Excel so I'm economising this week.<<hugs to those in need >> and a bigto the rest of you. Spring is on the way at long last my bulbs are pushing through in the pots in the garden:j
Cheers everyone
