Tax Credit not paid to TSB custormers

Every Sunday we get paid our tax credits at 12 o clock , So I went to the shops and my card was declined as the money had not gone in. I phoned the Tax Credits and they say the money was sent to TSB, So I phoned TSB and they said I was not the first and there has been about 300 phone calls ( this was at 12.20). They ask me for the Tax Credit Helpline! Which I give to them. I was told to phone back at 3.30 pm as that is when the bank stops updating accounts. But the thing is no one seems to know what has happened.

I'm with Lloyds and mine has never been paid on Sunday at 12? Mine's due on Thursday. I didn't think banks did transactions on Sunday anyway.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

Mine normally gets paid at 1pm on a sunday,but its dated monday.0

It,s only paid in on a sunday if its due on a monday. I think its because TSB looks at Saturday and Sunday as Monday for some reason. I don't know why, It has been getting paid at 12 o clock every sunday for years now(for me anyway) , so I just find it strange and really just want to find out how many other people this is happening to.
The way the Banks are going I don' t trust them at all.0 -

Mine to tony, but the man at the TSB said there's been lots of phone calls about it and he never knew what was going on, He then asked for the tax credit help line so they could phone. I m sure it will be in by Monday but when you budget for it on a sunday and its not there, then its anoying to say the least.0 -
never heard of ANY bank paying into accounts on a Sunday..?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

It only clears on a sunday, the date is for the monday and any Goverment money by law has to be in the account by the date. Its like our child benifet (also TSB) it is due on a tuesday but goes in on a monday at 11pm. Its all to do with the bank and not the goverment.

Ok just been back on the phone to TSB and was told all Tax Credits will now be in by 8 pm and when I told her that it wold be nice to have been told about the change she said that they were only tolds themself today.
I pointed out that I own a part of there company now, as I am a taxpayer and I am speaking to fellow owners about this problem:rotfl:
I think we should call a board meeting.

You have no right of complaint right now as the due date isn't until tomorrow.
I know it's annoying but there isn't anything you can do until Monday has passed.0
