Wave hello to linniebabe :hello:
I'm impressed by your budgeting, especially as I seem to have done nothing but spend money today.
DD's parents evening is tomorrow so I managed to get my hair cut and styled so I don't scare people!
Took DD(23) and she got a nice hairstyle too! As well as a new top and a new handbag.
I have been given a list of "Do's " and"Don'ts " by DD(15). She insists when a certain teacher says she needs to do better that I do not (mock innocently and sweetly)ask how marks of A and A* can be improved!!!! grhh!!!
Smoky
My oldest used to insist there were wolves that were coming to get them.
When told reassuringly there were not wolves in England anymore and there had not been for hundreds of years, they said "Yes there are Dad took us to see them while we were at Flamingoland and you were with the baby".
I had to get them to visualise the wolf and then we all jumped on the "wolf" on the kitchen floor to destroy it! DH came in while we were all "jumping on the wolf!"
The expression on his face when I told him what we were doing and why was a sight to behold!!!;)
Treated myself to a new handbag as mine is falling apart and finally got home at 6 o clock with sore feet and headache!
Snowy
You should see yourself as we do and your self esteem would rocket, Pet!

Awwww my poor DIL has just text me saying that DGD has just had to have a feeding tube put in and it was the worse thing she has ever had to watch. It's awful when your child is so upset and there is nothing you can do for them as its for their own good.
Have just sat down after having shepherds pie for dinner - am stuffed
So much for not having Mr T deliver and going shopping myself - forgot milk and a couple of more things tooWould lose my head if it wasn't screwed on.

im a bit of a newbie in that i have been registered with the site for a while but have done nothing much with it other than the occasional post
i did attempt to seek advice the other day on an educational matter and it was disasterous, i got really attacked which resulted in me becoming defensive and it really was not a pleasent experience at all  however, by the end of it, most concerned were able to make up and get on.
I was not keen in coming back on to be honest but i am willing to give it another go as everyone in here seems really friendly
Linnie I did see that thread and didnt post as it was way too nasty for my liking, that's why I tend to stay on here. this is a lovely thread. you are very welcome on here
had beef lasagne for tea alas not HMbut a reduced costco one, it was huge but just not as tasty as mine, however its all eaten and it has saved me an hour today not having to make it

Evening all
Snowey, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to suggest you needed to lose weight, I should have given a clearer explanation, I do hope I didn't offend you.
MM, I laughed so much, you poor thing, my hubby's going deaf too but he insists that it's me mumbling.
WS the JA soup sound delish, but I'll save the recipe for when I'm going to be alone for a few days.
ISOM, thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
Smokey, big hugs to you, my DGS used to have nightmares about a duck, I gave him a tedy with built in 'duck protection' it seemed to do the trick.
Nice to 'see' you JackieO
PP, hope you are ok.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Hi all, i need to post just to be able to put down how i feel at this moment in time.
Last year my son was in a accident where his close mate died they were on 2 bikes ,
lovely May morning on way to work, weather great, boys in plenty of time, just put petrol in.
Not speeding but going under speed limit.Around a bend in the road there was a recycling lorrie parked up with a line of traffic behind NO ONE with hazards on.
My son on first bike white lined it to advoid hitting the traffic ,Ryan went across the road in fount of on coming cars and was dragged under car,
bike on fire my boy pulls Ryan out and is trying to put flames out with hands and pulling his legs straight.
Ryan is missed every single day, he was his mother only child and yet my boy lived and i have 5 children, why do these things happen?
He stayed in our house so many nights ,even came up xmas day 07 we feed him rubbed aftersun into his back, picked him up from bike shops,
hes nicked our lawn mower petrol ,all the things that anyone with a teenage boys knows about.
Its some thing that i hoped never to see again
but tonight my dd gets a phone call from b/f to say he in car accident he crying in pain .He only 18 years old on way home here from 2nd job ,
works hard ,good lad ,he stays at ours during the week.
I take dd out there, Police cars and mangled cars ,another accident which b/f went into the back of
im now sat home wondering what happening ,dd went into hospital in b/f dads car.
