It's when she starts dishing out detention slips we have to worry:rotfl:0 -

In the spirit of the rebellious suffragettes re: chatting off topic on here (:rotfl: ) I just had to@ the above Horny Hunk comment!!
.......................................
I've read Refugees thread but don't think I've posted. The recent postings on there (before it was locked) were pretty heated and I suspect it's more likely that that has stirred up this chat/no chat/sharing personal info debate again.
I def agree with whoever it was who wrote that those complaining about the small amounts of chat on Grabbit are usually the ones who haven't posted about shopping lists/glitches/stock in certain stores in order to help others, but instead fire abrupt questions asking for the latest information.
Everyone has to scan thru the pages to keep up and possibly miss out on glitches but it's the discussions surrounding the various vouchers/successes instore that enable us to find the goodies!
The first two posts are kept up to date but obviously if you want to find out how to do a profitable transaction, you usually need more than a synopsis. People like the reassurance of reading that X Bootser has managed to get 10 S&G GWP's for 0.00!! (We wish!)
(Now all I need to do is actually get to Boots in the first place! Ha! )
(In previewing, I can see that jazzteddy has already said why Glad etc became involved.Great minds and all,
, how on earth does it take me so long to write a post!)

Oh No ...Not detention.
I can just see SS striding around. Her black gown flowing behing her, cracking her ruler into her hand, and telling us to write lines saying "I must post my glitches in the right thread"

I emptied my bag before I went out as all the vouchers I had were expired. The bag was then light enough to put on my shoulder without collapsing.
I think I am most excited about the boots socks ones. :j :j :j However I couldnt find any reduced socks!!!!!!
so will try to contain my excitement by not thumbing through them again in case they start to look tempting.
BTW I did not get any for ear wax removal or cold sore treatment. sulkAre they real or are you taking the sandra scarlet

Sorry, it's habit! Please forgive me.

No offence taken, I was just trying to get my point across in the kindest most helpful way.
My spelling has never been very good.0 -
Just a post to say that I would also be really sorry to see this thread altered - its great as it is !
For newbies all the chat about the detail in the shopping trips which may seem tiresome to others is hugely important as we have to build up our confidence using the plethora of vouchers and coupons and get them in the correct order at the till.
It really is highly skilled and I for one need and appreciate all the little tips I can get .Most of us are desperate to avoid any kind of embarrassement and I rely on the goodwill of the posters on this thread relaying their experiences.
At the same time it is inspirational to hear about others' success and the kindness with which glitches are shared.
Its this unspoken thoughtfulness which makes all the difference xxxxxxx0 -

Thanks geordie_lass,:T I checked them today in my local but they were all full price, but I will keep an eye on them.
When they do reduce them, they are well worth getting. I even included socks in the hampers I did for the girlies in my family at Christmas.
Mind you I bought the baskets in the Pound shop and they are laundry baskets and are massive, so plenty of room for goodies (Boots use the same ones  )~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Well said! I am deeply indebted to all the people who explained to me the till spit and Pinkie combination in October, cos prior to that I threw my vouchers away.
Yes I did! And I never went near an ACM, cos there isn't one in my local, and when I went out, there didn't seem a need to get something at other branches.
Life's one long learning experience, and it's great to hear about glitches, and whether one product is worth the extra spend, or you'd be better off with something cheaper.
I know I ramble, but I've had so many PMs from peeps who didn't know about OAP tickets for shows, or who've had a precious day to themselves whilst someone else is babysitting, and they've made it an occasion by having a cheap meal, or better still, a 2 for 1 with a friend.
But the nicest thing for me is, that I can afford to give better Birthday and Christmas gifts, and loads of cheer-up presents to dear friends when I visit, instead of taking a cake, or choccies, or flowers, and they've cost me next to nothing.
The whole family are coming to me on Mothers' Day (I do an easy-peasy lunch, like quiches with salad, and they bring the dessert!), and I've made lovely Mothers Day gift baskets for all the ladies present, that have cost me under a £1 each, and I know they'll be surprised and pleased.
And we'll have Christmas Crackers, bought in the sale, which'll please the children.
Being thrifty, I've used large recycled gift bags for some, and shoe boxes, covered in Asda reduced gold Christmas paper, for others.
People on this Board are so helpful, and I hope I can give back the help I receive. Thanks to everyone who makes the Grabbit Board such a nice place to visit.
