    Hi Liverbird and all bootsers:hello:,

Scotland apparently has 2 of these scanner things, Glasgow Fort and Aberdeen store.
My mum had this done - skin age was 40 odd, she is 65!!! Soap and water and a touch of Olay! Takes about 10mins ish and a wee bag of goodies to take away.

    HTH
    WBx

My Nan was a soap and water and Nivea lady. She had the softest skin and not a lot of wrinkles.
I'm going to see if theres a scanner near me, but scared of the results!

morning everyone well have had good night and feel really rested today so think i may attempt to go back to boots see if i have better day getting nappies lol, does anyone know where the clearance section in exeter high st branch is? Also anything i should be looking out for??

Thank you all again for kind and supportive words xx

lollyred1, I am seeing red after reading your post about your awful experience with the 'SA from hell':( It beggers belief that any SA would think it was acceptable to speak to a customer in such a way. Good on you for going back to boots:Tand for contacting CS. That SA needs a severe ticking off for the way she spoke to you. How dare she:mad: I do hope CS will compensate you for what you have been through. (((hugs)))

sarnd, I was really shocked at what happened to you too, with the urban decay items you bought:( only a really nasty c** would void the transaction when she spotted you had recieved extra points:mad: That was a really spiteful thing to do in my opinion! I am so glad you went to another till and got your points in the end. Well done to you:j

The Incoco nail thingies I mentioned (£1 in Monk's Cross from £5+) is on here and has a video showing how to apply them: http://www.incoco.com/

Doubt that'll help anyone btw :D

geordie_lass - Do you remember a time when you could get peel-on nail polish? They were similar to the above, but a lot less hassle (looking at that lol), and were great to apply. A local company used to make them for the US market I think

I think Avon might still sell it. I know they sell peel-on eye shadows:eek:

Flumpster and MsMoo,I have just had some electrolysis on my chin and lip:o ,not very expensive ,£11 for first session and £10 for second ,at least it should be permanent.Don't know yet if I will need another session.

If you've only had one session, you most likely will need more unless the hairs were very light and thin. I've heard too much negative stuff about electrolysis over the years and how it can be damaging to the skin (though perhaps things have improved since then). Laser removal is great (particularly if you find a place with a good type of laser, as they are not all created equal) though it works best if you have light skin and dark hairs. Any other combo (dark skin or light hairs) doesn't work with laser removal.

    Here's some info on electrolysis:
"Perhaps one of the most misunderstood aspects of electrolysis is the idea that you can throw away your razor after just one treatment. Like laser hair removal, electrolysis requires a series of treatments to be effective and even then, the treatment does not always prevent hair follicles from growing new hair.

The electrolysis procedure is also slow, painstaking and painful. A small needle or thin metal probe is inserted into the opening of the skin where hair grows (small sacs beneath the skin called hair follicles). Next, a low-level electrical current passes through the needle and destroys the hair follicle. Each hair follicle is zapped with an electric current for about a minute. Hair is unable to grow back in an area where the follicle has been destroyed. However it can take between twelve and thirty treatments just to destroy one hair follicle. Most of the time hair does grow back thinner and weaker."

*Wanders off to tippex out rublylou's name from a Sanctuary Travel Set* ;)

No idea where my dot cm order is btw. It said 'Delivered' on HND's website, but not to here it wasn't  I'm just hoping it's not the same driver who tried to insist that a pc monitor was mine, when it wasn't! I was like: "Gimme my Sanctuary, you fool" :D

But does anyone know what happens in cases like that please? Do I contact Boots? Tia x

    Hi

I am back after a day in bed sleeping off a horrid sickness bug. It really wiped me out - I did manage to read and thank posts but had no energy to actually post!!!!

Anyway - passion8 this has happened on my Sanctuary GWP as well. I received the despatch email on Thursday evening and expected delivery yesterday. Nothing came and no note put through the door but the HDN site says 'with customer'. I am hopping they just ran out of time and I will recieve on Monday if not I will phone CS to find out what has happened.

I just checked my order status and it now appears that my parcel is relaxing at Droitwich Spa - maybe I will receive it on Monday!!!!
  • Just to let you know that sometimes they sell urban decay for a couple of pounds in TJHughes, if you have one near you.

Also, could someone let me know of the glitches found, please as i have been away for the past week.
    TIA

I had this with one of my orders. Should have been with me on the Friday and the site said it was a failed delivery but it turned up on the Monday. I think the driver has to put something in for the parcel so they make something up.
