They do work, at least on the new (and much-improved packaged ) Compact Handbag Mirrors. I used 2 x purkies on them today. Hths x

Not that I have tried it with these current perkies but not sure they work on old packaging maybe someone can confirm that.

The new packaging is not in our large store has yet. No idea when they will be inroduced either.

Broclo, I believe you posted on here today as your thread had been closed by Glad, and Refugees wasn't deleted, but you couldn't post on it, so lots of other people, including myself, read about what happened.

As I said to you 6 posts back, none of us can ascertain the "tone" of the written word, which is one of the reasons I try to remember to go back and read before I press "send", and add exclamation marks, so that peeps can "see" I'm being light-hearted, just in case anything I say is misconstrued.

Now reading what you have written above, it seems to me, and forgive me if I've jumped to conclusions, but all the words in capitals (which I always understood meant shouting), made the post seem hectoring. As in "Right. That's it. I don't want to listen to any more discussion. I've said my bit, and that's what counts".

As I said before, I apologise profusely if that was not your intention for one moment, but can you not see that if your post can be misconstrued, so can that of other peeps?

Also, there have been loads of peeps tonight expressing their opinion, and let's face it, we all only have one opinion, but surely we're entitled to express it, and those people seem to think that Refugees is rather exclusive. I haven't read any one saying they feel it is tiresome.

If 27 different boards are established, I for one shall not be posting on any of them, or even reading them. I wouldn't know where to start. It was me who suggested several pages back that Glad and CPG should be consulted as to the next move. But in order for them to make a decision, surely they need to assess the way people are feeling?

And that means anyone who cares to voice, or should I say, post their opinion. We've all only got one opinion, but as I tell my DH when we have a slight disagreement (in other words, a flaming row!) and he says "You think your opinion is always right!", it works just as much when applied to him!

As I've said several times, if I have read the tone wrong, I apologise profusely, and stand corrected.

Not in my local yet either:o but they are in a slightly larger:D store but are located on the actual NO7 display stand as opposed to the other side of the shop with false nails and eyelashes etc. SA told me the NO7 were having a retrent/retrend ( something like that ) pretty soon though so maybe my local will get them

I was making the point that this is a grabbit, whilst a certain element of chat and discussion is tolerated by MSE, when the boots grabbit has got out of hand before it has been closed etc.

It is also not pleasant reading for other people. If you want to post about it all night long, that is fine by me, I just wanted to put across that not everyone would find it as refreshing as you do.

Judging by some of the comments on here about the chat and the snidey remarks made on refugees thread about grabbit, it seems to me that a lot of people want to get this sorted out once and for all.

The perkies do work on the older style accessories...
I used a perkie to pick up 5 different packs of these, for £1 each/ £5 total, used a perkie...so nothing to pay. HTH

Beckton is the Clearance store, a sort of cemetry for all the old unwanted things from different branches. The things are very cheap but it is luck whether you get there as several pallets of something You Want is being delivered, or not.

I remembered that lots of people were raving about Country Hampers, and couldn't get them in the sale, and there were stacks of them, so I gave the Heads Up (I like using with-it phrases!).

I don't pay a farthing to get there, and it means an hour-ish ride on bus/train/bus for me, but I go with a friend, so don't notice the time, and I have bought some good bits and pieces. But I wouldn't say you're going to rave every time you go, it just depends what's been delivered - and you never know what that'll be. HTH
