LMFAO! It's not all bad,But i have dealt with some nutters on there in the past. One lady started to harass me via emails after i gave her a kettle. I was getting 3 page long emails about how crappy her life and events in it have been.I kind of felt sorry for her at first, and did reply thinking aww she must not have any friends, But after months of enduring the nutter..she turned on me and attempted to turn half the group against me!! I felt for a lot of her sob stories at first, but then when i didn't give her first dibs on the many items i offer she didn't like that! She has had some really random stuff off of me and it got me wondering if her 'friend' was car booting them lolIf google doesn't know it, how should i?0 -

dirtyflannel(?? best not ask..!), i guess they wantto see how freec(ycle)-ish you are!
local group asks for the road you live in- could give any road, and did, cos is none of their business, and dont want the freecycle thought police stalking my home!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Some of the questions can be a little, shall we say, personal, yes!!
We have no questions on ours!
We just want people not robots to join, that's why it's not automatic membership on application. We were getting email harvesters trolling the site. So for everyones protection we changed it to approved only.
Most of the applicants do say why they want to join anyway.
Since we changed to the approved format, we have only had 3 people who have added nothing.......and they are still in the Pending for Approval tray!
And there they will remain until they expire (14 days) or they contact me and say 'oi, I applied!' then I will explain to them about the trolls and harvesters!
So Approved Membership has a reason.** Freebies and money saved with the help of you all? - Don't know ....lost count! **** Stay Safe **0 -
