For all you freebie hunters and for those of you interested in recycling - I have found a great group. If you go to www.yahoo.com and click on 'Groups' then type in 'freecycle' you will find links to 14 different groups based all around the UK. Register for the one nearest you and you will receive emails from people wanting to get rid of their belongings absolutely Free. You can also posted 'Wanted' messages and you never know you may get lucky as someone may be giving away just what you need.

I got a sewing machine last week, I wanted it, someone didn't, I picked it up from them and voila I am now so (sew) happy.

MESSAGE FROM BOARD GUIDE

I have merged all the freecycle posts into this one. If we can try and keep them all to one place that will be great. I will start a new thread periodically a bit like the pigsback thread.

This has been done to stop numerous posts about freecycle being started up and cluttering the boards up.

I did as you said and also found this list of freecycle groups throughout the UK which makes it easier to search for a group in your area. I've not heard of freecycling but what a great idea!

No..go to this site that Tiff gives the link as http://freecycle.org/display.php?region=International go down to the uk counties and find your nearest area on there...it's about just over half way down approx!

I dont know whats involved but I suppose you can always start a group for your area if there isnt one already?
