Whenever I try to do anything on this thread a window pops up asking me the following...

A user name and password are being requested by http://guides.dooyoo.co.uk. The site says: "Guides"

It then has boxes for the username and password. If I click Cancel it goes away but its very annoying.

Is there a bug on this thread or something? It's only happening here, not on Dooyoo itself.

Thanks. I thought it was my pc playing silly beggars again. I've removed mattygrove's post (no offence matty!) as I think there was something within the link posted, as fiver suggested.

This seems to have cleared the problem for me. Will you let me know if it happens again? Thanks.

Weird. The pop up you were getting is indeed from the sign in link to the guides forum, but weird!

As for the question about product suggestions they're NOT done by guides. Really, guides do no more than be around to answer questions and to alert dooyoo to things that we think are important (good or bad). The suggestions are done by a back-room team at dooyoo. Things like books and films go on in a very particular way and these suggestions are dealt with, in general, one day a week. Other items can be more ad hoc. Sometimes, if a category is being worked on by database people there can be a longer delay in getting the suggestions up. There's currently a delay in media suggestions due to absence.

If you've been waiting more than a couple of weeks for something then alert a guide and we can ask if there's a delay somewhere. We can't get individual things added though! It may be a simple mistake though, so it's worth asking.

One top tip for suggestions is to use AMAZON.CO.UK as your source for pictures etc if you can. The Amazon codes are strongly tied to dooyoo and it's easier for these uploads to happen to both fit with the database and get round any copyright issues.

    Hope this helps.

There's some moron on Dooyoo at the minute writing 'Dooyoo sucks' over and over on every review. I take it he's some clown who Dooyoo refused to pay for substandard reviews.

I've noticed that. I thought the same thing, he probably had some payments refused.

Hopefully Dooyoo will rid the site of this this morning.... they are aware!

Sometimes I wonder who lets the school-kids in!

Hey guys, not been on here in ages, but have a quick question :)
My last review I've written has 16 member readings, but 33 total readings. When I look at my DooYoo miles, I've only added 270 on (less the 500 for the review) which means I'm only getting points for the member readings. Is this correc?
For some reason I was under the impression we got miles for any reading, member or not. As surely most of the consumers looking for a review won't be members of the site?

    Thanks for helping guys! :)

No I don't think you get miles from non members.

It would be fantastic if you got miles for non-member reads! One of my earliest reviews had about 20-odd member reads and over 400 non-member reads!! :o
