Thankyou very much for your reply, yes I checked my deleted folder but it's not there either, I'm normally very careful about what I delete, must have been having an off-day or something! I have contacted Amazon by e-mail; I just hope they'll still let me redeem my voucher as I worked really hard on all my reviews x0

I requested an Amazon voucher from Dooyoo (for 40 pounds) a coupla weeks back and didn't think I'd received it. I contacted Dooyoo a couple of days ago to check if they'd sent it and they've responded today with an e-mail saying that they sent it to me on the 27th March. I guess I must have deleted it accidentally and it's gone for good now. They said on the e-mail that I should contact Amazon directly with my order number, but I'm really not sure how to go about this? If anyone could help I'd be very grateful!
Lou xx
Contact amazon via this link and they will sort it very quickly. It is an online form and dead easy.

Amazon have probably the best customer service team i've ever spoken to. If they don't respond to your email just give them a call.0

Only just realised that Dooyoo have stopped paying for reads on older reviews. (Not sure how long ago the change happened.)
From DooYoo:
Reviews continue earning dooyooMiles for the first 6 months that they are live on the site, after which time they will remain visible on the site but will no longer earn dooyooMiles if other members read them (unless you update the review).
This explains why I've seen lots of people saying that they've updated older reviews. I was wondering why they were bothering.
As for return rating (the old debate!) I always endeavour to return rate (except in specific circumstances, eg: somebody who speed-rated 5 or so of my reviews and their own were unbelievably dire. I think I gave them a SU and a NU and then gave up!) I do also read around the site generally, new reviews, people on my Circle of Friends - I add people whose writing style I enjoy and who write about topics I enjoy. I also like to check out the lists eg: reviews with most comments (always makes for interesting reading!)
Some days I'm in the mood for reading, others I would rather write. In all, I'm more of a giver than a receiver - when it comes to ratings!

I hadn't noticed that one, that and the now £20 to redeem for amazon vouchers sounds like the credit crunch has hit doesnt it!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I think it is more a sign of dooyoo being more realistic in the face of a huge increase in membership and churning (churning is not an issue if the quality is good BTW). Raising the cashout to £20 will more than likely put a few of the fly by nights off and will directly benefit members who are playing the long game (as you obviously most be scuabangel since you have been a member for a while now).
It was genius of dooyoo to introduce the 500 miles per review posted to increase membership but they have to offset that with the fact that they want reviewers to give back to the site and raising the limit encourages this. I like the fact that dooyoo are getting back to rewarding what I would call "real" members and this is reflected in their new reviews pages which has cut down the number of reviews per member shown giving those of us who don't or can't write more than a review a day (or even week!) more representation and more reads on the newest reviews page.
I think dooyoo have a realistic, consistent and sustainable business plan. Something other sites don't seem to grasp (Helium for one).0 -
As dooyoo seem to be inundated with new members today may I suggest that some of the new members who have joined after reading about it here read the guide at the start of this thread first?
This way you can write better reviews, get higher rates and generally get more out of the site.

Inundated is the word - some people are writing some good stuff but some people are not taking the care to spell that they would do for (say) a post on this forum, and haven't taken any time at all to read any reviews before going in, writing the bare 150 minimum and writing 5 or so reviews one after another.
You get paid when you reach £20 now (vouchers) it is £50 for a cheque - if you write say 40 poor reviews to get that £20 then I think they can and do refuse payment.
Many members are not rating the influx of new reviews, I assume as many of them are at best SU, and they are scared of getting "revenge rated" - against the rules and reportable btw - some of the poor quality stuff is still getting VU and U - it brings the site down.
There is room for everyone (probably) but not if people are out for a quick £20 and don't care what rubbish they write.
I read here a lot but don't post often, but am a regular dooyooer, and the influx has been noticed elsewhere - we are assuming many people came via this site, so it would be indeed nice if people read the very good advice on this thread.
Edited for spelling0 -
Well said AzanaMoving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

Actually on reflection longstanding members probably aren't rating as there is just such an influx of poor stuff - still might mean I go do some housework.0
