I would clarify that, as there are always conspiracy theorists who think that dooyoo avoid paying out for legit reviews - they are hot on not paying out for abuse - they are very good about paying for legitimate, rule following reviews.
Just thought I'd point that out.0 -
But I have usually around 2-10 members reading my review who don't bother to rate...often after I've rated their review as somewhat useful or not useful. I don't think I should miss out on the money because of this.
I think we would see more revenge rating if people didn't get paid for not useful's. If a review is truly not useful dooyoo won't pay the person for it anyway so really not useful reviews don't get anything.
I'm not sure you would, at least in terms "revenge raters" of giving out NUs. A rogue NU is pretty easy to spot and if this were to suddenly happen, then Dooyoo would look at it. You could argue that people are more willing to actually rate because they're relying on you to rate back. Simply reading and sodding off isn't good enough any more. People will, literally, have to put their moouth where their money is. Unless it simply exaggerates the over-rating problem, which I guess is potentially an issue.
I'm disappointed that there is still this fear of revenge raters around the site. I don't think that paints a good picture at all.0 -

I am probably going to kick myself for saying this as knowing my luck the opposite will end up being true, but I haven't really encountered much in the way of real revenge raters in my time on Dooyoo - I have had a couple of people rate a review the majority felt was VU as U, just after I had rated one of their reviews down, but any SUs I have received have been justified by the person who rated and I believe that if you give them out, you have to accept them back.
I do rate honestly too but at the end of the day, no matter what the rate, so long as my reviews meet Dooyoo's criteria, I get paid, so I'm not going to cry about it if someone rates me down - of course I'd prefer the higher rating but they all earn me the same amount of cash.0 -
I rarely get revenge rated...it's happened a couple of times and dooyoo have removed the rating.
My main issue is that people often read my reviews without rating which I think is possibly a form of revenge rating because they know that they won't get away with actual revenge rating they don't rate my stuff at all. Which is okay because I still get paid for it but I wouldn't be very happy if I stopped being paid for people viewing my review.0 -
Could it be they are people who are not dooyoo members? I mean, people browsing the internet and using dooyoo as it is intended, to read reviews of products they are interested in buying? Would non-members even be able to rate?0

Non members can 'thank' a reviewer, though to my knowledge, there's no way of telling if you've been thanked (there's a Thanks button on reviews when you're not logged in).
Dooyoo only pays on member reads - so that's reads done by members who are logged in, so from a payment point of view, non-member reads are irrelevant.

No, non members can't rate and count in your overall visitor count but you can view which members have viewed your posts without rating.0 -
I wish Dooyoo would change the suggestions page back again. It use to show all the In Progress suggestions at the top. Now they are in a different order.
Either that or allow you to remove suggestions that have been completed, so you can see what's still outstanding easier.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

Dooyoo are looking into making the suggestions page more sensible.0 -
Hi guys, I've been a member of Dooyoo for a coupla months now and was planning to wait until i hit the £50 mark before cashing out. I then discovered that you can buy GHDs on Amazon so cashed in 40000 points. does anyone know how long it normally takes to receive them? I've been waiting about 8 days now but haven't heard anything back? It shows up on my account that i've cashed them in. Thanks for any help! x0
