:hello: Good morning!
haven't read yesterday's thread yet so will do that in a minute.
Diva - I gather you've been able to "talk" to Trisan, that's great news. Thinking of you.x
Tru - What good neighbours you are! Thank goodness you were around.
Stefejb - Enjoy your hike! Fibbonaci numbers - Crikey, I don't even know what they are now, let alone when I was twelve:eek:
Penny_pincher - Sorry to hear about your Dad, no good telling you not to worry so I won't,, thinking of you x
MRS TITTLEMOUSE - good to see you back, hope things are improving for you.
Not sure what's for dinner today - I know there's a chicken breast in the freezer so may buy another one, must trawl through my recipe books. I've got some diabetes recipe books but they always seem to call for fresh herbs i don't have! We seem to have got into a bit of a rut with meals, eating the same things, time to broaden my repertoire I think!
I was really pleased that Matt won Masterchef, but sorry to see a little bit in the paper yesterday saying he hasn't yet been able to open his restaurant because he needs to sell his house in order to fund it, and hasn't got a buyer yet.
All for now, will pop back later and catch up. Hope everyone has a good day.

Moggins, I'm glad you've found a solution that seems to be the best for you. It's going to be tough but obviously you know that, and the alternative is, I suspect, even tougher. I hope your trip to the Bristol meet is brilliant - you deserve a good day with like minded individuals!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I forgot to say that I found a very easy recipe for Lentil Soup.
Oil
Large Onion finely chopped
Large carrot chopped
8tbsp Red dried lentils
900ml water
parsley (optional)
black pepper
Serves 2
Fry onion and carrot for about 3 mins until softened.
Add all other ingredients and bring to boil, then simmer for about 25 mins or until lentils are softened add more water if needed.
If you want soup smooth, blend it.
Add parsley & Pepper for taste.
This is a very high protein soup and full of nutrients. It was in my local free paper.
Am going to try next week.

I am meeting a school friend for lunch today which will be nice for a catch up. Jacket potato only for me though so I dont stray off diet! DD coming with me and Mum and Dad are looking after DS for an hour or 2 - he doesnt like strange places or noise so he will be much happier at home.
Putting the WM on before I go out so it will be done when I get home and need to make a big pan of chilli tonight with a load of mince that I got from the butchers.

Good morning.
Having a lazy day so far.Have only managed to empty the DW and load the WM. I did alot of tidying last night so that I could put my feet up today.
We are planning to have lunch out today after a nice long walk. Not sure if the children are coming or staying out with Granny. The children have been playing lovely games together all morning. I think they are being vets/librariansbut I won't bore you all with the details, suffice to say it is very funny.:rotfl:
Tea will be a simple affair if we've eaten alot at lunch time so I'm thinking sausage and onion baps.
I have more mending to do today. I hadn't realised how many hems and buttons I had been ignoring.
Enjoy your Saturday everyone.
Sorry for your troubles Moggins.
Enjoy your days with your "real life" friends Beth and EH.
What a wonderful neighbour you are Tru. :A

Hi everyone!
Wow! I haven't been on here for aaaaaaaaaaaages! The play went incredibly well, we're taking it to France for a few days in four weeks, and we've been asked to perform at the Youth Festival in Kingston in July and also at the Edinburgh Fringe in August - exciting times!
Very busy week this week - working and rehearsing all weekend, have 2500 words due in for Friday, rehearsing every day until Wednesday then I'm performing in a variety show on the Thursday. Next Friday night I think I'll end up in bed by 8pm! I love what I do, but sometimes I wonder why I have this need to do too much...
Haven't had chance to catch up with all the goss of the past couple of weeks yet, so (((((((((HUGS))))))))) for anybody who's had a hard time recently.

Penny Pincher - that soup looks extremely nice - do you think something like curry powder or one of those family of flavourings would help it?
Also - not OS but would whoever signed up to Chorewars Evil Cat's Collaborators please pm me so I can pm you to let you know when an adventure has gone up. I have had a go at the first one this morning, and I think sleep deprivation has made me a bit more random than normal. I am still not sure how the dratted thing works.
Also - dear heart really loved the carrot and mint soup last night, he is so happy with it, I thought I would have a browse of other soups for him to take to work. Also I think little bear really enjoys these home made soups and stews. Are there any recommendations? I am happy to try him with almost anything as I think it will be better for him.
Hugs to all, especially Moggins - you are in my thoughts and prayers.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
