I did a very general search on Monster, but that made my head spin

I suppose it would help if I knew what sort of job I was looking for!

oh well, first thanks but no thanks today, am not that surprised but still deflating.
I've got another application to complete today - another one that is very local & one that I really want so need to make the application sparkle somehow - thats difficult online, if it was paper application form at least I could post some glitter with it!
staying at home is also having adverse effect on weight - I'd lost almost a stone, & some of that had crept back on before all this....now its pretty much all back again so really need to address that too

On the plus side it appears that I'll be paid almost as normal on Friday, am not convinced so won't play with figures until its in my bank account

weather permitting it will be car boot sale this week, so decluttering required!

Hi Lurker - sorry to hear you've had your first rejection - what a bummer! Don't let it put you off though - just bear in mind that they didn't give themselves the opportunity to meet you and find out how fab you are!

I know what you mean about the weight too - 3 weeks at home and I've put on nearly half a stone - I'm beginning to worry what'll fit me when I finally go back! :o Not sure I can offer any constructive advice other than don't eat so much cos you're bored - if you can come up with anything - let me know!

Hope you get what you're hoping for on Friday, and let me know how the car boot goes!

& another day passes with no news!
but I suppose that means no out n out rejections either!

got washing done & dried outside, will iron that later & made dead fly buns, yumyum. bet they don't last long though

back to dentist tomorrow, just a check up thankfully & the cost will be pretty covered by HSA.

Met another member of the redundancy club yesterday - she finished a week after me, but has applied for 18 jobs!!!!!! I thought I'd done well with 5!!!
still putting off applying for the FS job I'd seen, for so many reasons....but then again - any job would be better than none

Still its job day in papers today - highlight of my week!

Well I made cakes & then ate most of them which is probably why I didnt want proper meal last night!
Also got a few bits listed on ebay to finish on Saturday - that way if they don't sell they can come to the car boot sale on Sunday
Last nights job paper had 2 possibles to apply for, so that will be job for today & probably tomorrow

Its been 4 weeks today since my life was turned upside down & I don't seem to have achieved anything - maybe the weather will settle to summer & I'll get to chill in the garden & tan!

ok, news on the redundancy pay offer
    original figire, £10k
that increased to £11.5 plus holiday pay of £426
    now £15k
ex-work claim that they have witness to me asking to be made redundant........all I've ever said was that I felt my job should have been put at risk
    success in some way !

right, i've told the Solicitor that I will accept the new offer, so imagine that will mean a little ride out to sign papers, hopefully that could be tomorrow, not after the bank holiday

dentist for check up shortly, then am going to M&S too see if I can find some new jeans - have £16 in vouchers to put towards them, currently wearing ones that are falling apart!
note to self, must stop eating cakes & get more exercise or will soon split clothes!

I did get paid! woo hooo
quite like this idea, being paid for doing nothing!!

Having accepted the revised redundancy payout I have to say I feel as if a weight has been lifted from shoulders to the point where I actually skipped out of the dentist yesterday! probably helps that the sun has come out!

Plan for today is to visit Mr T, spend wisely, then am babysitting for neighbour for an hour
will also work out budget for when the lump sum comes through, see how long I can make it last

Not going to do car boot sale this weekend after all, not really done enough sorting out so we are going to potter about with a few outside chores for 2 which will be nice

Well that was a really nice bank holiday weekend
We've cleared out the shed, sorted some bits for car boot sale, dumped loads of junk & had a pretty good clear out

skin was also exposed to sun shine so is slightly pink despite the use of factor 15

Been talking about plans for the redundancy lump & the first thing that will be done will be to pay off the 0% cc.
Money to repay Bank of M&D will be put into seperate account & will feed £250 into regular saver until end of year so we get the bonus (& the money will still be there just in case). It works well as I know M&D wouldn't accept it while I am out of work

next plan has been to work out a budget - I've got a plan that allows me 6 months out of work...well actually about 10, but I really hope it doesnt take that long - I'd kind of like to have some left......

So in theory in about 2 weeks I will be debt free.....just not the way I expected!
