Nosey away GG, Its nice to think people are reading.....I'm getting obsessed with watching the numbers increase, sad little person that I am
hmmm another morning gone with little to show for it, in my defence I did have my entire personnel file to read through (having requested it to freak out ex-employers) their record keeping is pretty pants - I know of a few things missing, plus they have asigned contract that I didn't sign......really not sure how thats happened.
I did say I was going to stop whinging about them......having seen a number of people I used to work with I know I'm better off out of it, but would really like someone to want to interview me - after all I have nice sparkly new clothes to wear!!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
woop woop its Friday :j:j
even though I'm not going out to work every day weekend still means something - company I suppose at the very least.
Sun is out at the moment but theres not much warmth in it....& rain is on the way...hey ho, summers over!
Got a job application to finish today, then it will be mr T, post book sold on GM & potter about tidying
Got all the ironing finished yesterday & more importantly, its all been put away
oh crikey, Jeremy Kyle has just made me blub - story with a happy ending for once......I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
hmm, parted with more ££s than I wanted to at Mr T, am fairly sure I only bought what was on the list but must have gone wonky somewhere
control freak kicking in again, must scrutinise that bill......I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
:eek::eek::eek::eek:
keeping a smoothfaced loverboy is expensive!!!
went to srcutinise the bill from Mr T.....£8 on razor blades!!!!!! owie!! maybe I should encourage him to grow beard after all......
that helps to explain away the £60...as does the meat I bought to refill freezer - 3 packs of chicken which I have seperated into 4 freezer bags - that would normally have been 3 meals so it will stretch further than usual, hopefully helping wastelines too.
I did give to advertising (cos I like the way the panda says biskwits) so there is a half demloished pack of bikkies in the cupboard - they won't last until this time tomorrow
Think I may take some time over the weekend to do another freezer audit, but there shouldnt be many surprises, we ate most of the suprise stuff at beginning of the year
also ended up spending an extra £77 tonight having the lawn mower serviced - its petrol & almost does the job unaided, much better than the old one we had (& flogged on ebay) - but hadn't anticipated that bill, hey hoI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
As of 10.10am this morning, I am debt free.
That sort of announcement should be followed by all sorts of cartwheeling icons etc but for some stupid reason I'm not feeling wonderfully chirpy about it.
I'd like to say that its been repaid through hard work, careful money management & sheer determination but I can't and maybe thats the problem - I've used 25% of my redundancy money to clear them.
I think it was the right thing to do especially as the CC was about to revert to scary APR from 0%.
The money to repay Bank of M&D is actually sat in a seperate account feeding £250 into a regular saver for the best interest rate we could get - thats due to mature January 2010 time & as I know that my lovely folks wouldn't take the money while I'm out of work, it does mean its available if we have need for it.
It does mean that WHEN I get a job (soon please) we get to start afresh, new income, new budget etc
Am off to see outplacement counsellor today, have no idea what one of them does, but it was part of the redundancy package so it would be a waste not to! Fingers crossed this will make all the difference to the next batch of applications I complete!
Sorry for the ramble folks, Mondayness taking over I think!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -

Fantastic news Lurker!!! :j:j:j:j I think I'd have done the same in your position, so I wouldn't apologise for how you've done it!
Hope the outplacement day went well.0 -
At least it is one less thing for you to worry about. I do hope you get something soon xStart Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
aggghhhhhh 3rd time lucky, my post keeps disappearing!!!
ouplacement chap was nice enough, wants to rejig CV, although I'm not sure how that will help - none of the jobs I've applied for so far have wanted CVs.....
Fortnightly visit to job centre was fun.not. usually I've found the staff friendly & helpful, not so today, got a drone that I'm guessing was more used to deal with those who don't want to work......
Not much else to report, time to trawl internet for more jobs to apply for i guess.........pity I'm so easily distracted by reading diaries....;)I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
