Thanks F_F, although i think its a wee bigger hiccup than i'd like

apparently there are stages to this redundancy lark & i'm still in the anger stage....despite being genuinely happy to be free

I've been told that I'm outgoing & confident but thats only some of the time, right now I'm back to being the quiet mousey girl that no-one noticed at school so going on the attack to find a job is terrifying me into a messy blob (am sat here in pjs cuddling teddy bear cos OH & cat are out)

I'm blocking the need for cv update as I was happy with my old one & this new layout doesn't have much more in it than before....well it does actually, previous employers from 12 years ago - really relevant!?

oh well I've got so far, will email it over to the Bloke Who Knows, see what he thinks of it so far

What kind of work are you looking at just now?

Also, can you maybe look at doing some kind of college course to grab you some new skills? I'm going to be starting an evening class in September (Hopefully) as if I lose my job I would like to have new skills to use and to show that I'm trying to keep myself up to date. Even if you're not working at the moment, some kind of education thingie could help to tart up the CV.

I wish I knew what I wanted to do, might make things easier!
something admin-ie I guess - don't want to lose all people contact, but also don't want to feel I have to sell them something.

I'd also like to do something that mattered, was useful, but feel that its the wrong time to be committing to retraining as I'm hoping that we'll be starting family in the next 18 months.....& thats really what I want to do...be a mum!

well after hiding under the duvet last night I am now tentatively peaking out from under it again:o
Its possible that the hormones are on the ramage again, this month I turn into mush, last month could have floored Mike Tyson....wonder what next month will bring?!
    fun eh?

Following many collaborations am starting to think CV is going in the right direction (not sure Bloke Who Knows would agree yet) but I'm happy enough with it so have send it to company with 2 vacancies closing date today! never know it might make me top of the pile!

There were 2 more maybes in last night papers, so they are to be done today

Got to make OH lunch & whizz that round to him, picking up some onions on way back as need them for tonights tea.....yummy yummy in my tummy fajitas...

need cuppa so got to get out from under duvet for bit longer.....

weigh was goodish, have lost, but it only takes me back to where I started about 3/4 weeks ago.....still, its the right direction!

    I have a confession....

I spent money yesterday. and it felt sooooo go-ooooo-ooood!!
In my defence, I needed new shoes (old ones had been reheeled so many times, the insides were falling apart & really couldn't be rescued. They are destined for shoe heaven, but were well loved. plus when you are a size seven & half shoes that fit don't grow on trees....£24.47 is pretty good too - I did have the real money in purse, but put it on the plastic (reward card) and will put the £25 into account to pay it off on Tuesday.
Also bought nice smelly tea lights - live about half a mile from pig farm & when wind blows the wrong way house needs help to neutralize the odour!!

took OH to Asda with me, big mistake, major overspend there, but got loads so will aim for little top ups for next 2 weeks.

We also spent the last of our Xmas present & bought 2 more wii controllers (mainly to play 4player tennis, chaos fun) .....£29.35 each or £29 if bought with wii play (which we already have)... so did it that way, saved 70p! & will try flog the games on ebay

lazy day today while OH watches Grand Prix (go Jensen) & got the folks coming over for bbq later

Hi Lurker, well done on your weight loss.

Dont beat yourself up over spending money, everyone needs shoes now and again and less than £25.00 is pretty good going.

Hope you have had a nice day today x x

  • Items like shoes, when the alternative is bare feet, is a must. Lets face it, you have done the right thing and not gone out and spent £80 on a pair from Faith or Dune. So you are on the right path, its MSE all the waaaaaaaay BABY!!

Seriously, you did good. You did.

Faith or Dune? am more a Nine West kind of gal usually!! M&S this time, and they are pretty........

Have decided today that the redunancy counsellor is, well, a bit of a twit!
I get 7 hours in total with him (part of my package) which earns him £1000 - am thinking I could do a better job......

anyway, have submitted another application & plan to visit another agency tomorrow, plus check windows of others
Then have 3 more applications to do....its so mind numbing...and with the PMT monster rearing ugly head things are getting strained over here.

also plan to visit newly rebuilt library, see if i can find any evening classes that may be of interest & that might make me stand in the crowd more

oh & have to send of passport application....byebye £72.....its budgetted for woo hoooooo!!!

so much to do, so little time...is it Friday yet?
