i was thinking the same about you Mrs GG, & then spotted you'd updated your diary plus a couple of 100 others!!!
PMSL! Its all or nothing with me I am afraid!!
have done 2 more applications today, but the complete lack of interest in me doesnt keep me hopeful.
I was orginally applying for jobs that were similar basic money to last job, but in real terms meant £10k pay cut (I loved overtime!!). Now I'm looking at 50% cut, which is bl**dy scary, but has to be better than being patronised by job centre morons
I should be studying but can't. I will as I have to go in prepared otherwise no point in going at all.
Mr GG even turned round and asked me about how I was coming across in the interviews! I said as ME!!! Either they like me or I don't. Can't force anyone to give me a job but I am as heck trying. Stupid man question. Ooooh I could have pinched him.
Race for Life is tomorrow (am walking, too bloomin hot to try to run, not that I would) & the first 4 days of July will be SPEND days (eek)....job papers (Wed & Thurs), plus day out with mate on Thurdsay, then meeting another friend for coffee on Friday & then its off to see Take That @ Wembley...woohooooooooo, we have plans to eat before we get there though, keep costs as low as poss...hmmmm maybe 15 NSD was a bit ambitious for a challenge virgin!
Nice to do nice things. Enjoy whilst you can as when you are back working fulltime, you'll long for the freedom of being unemployed!
ages ago I was inspired by a challenge on here to use up all body lotions etc that were sat in the cupboard before buying any more (this was probably in 2007). In all honesty, I'm not a body lotion person until it gets near bikini time & for about 2 weeks after a holiday in an attempt to maintain the pink tan......so I'd manage a couple of days here & there....& then more body lotion would appear in the form of Xmas or birthday presents....ANYWAY, I'd got through some of the half used ones so it was working...slowly. I began the challenge again on the 24th April (day after the big R hit) since I had the time & I have used up a big tub of sanctuary (7/10), something that was part of Xmas pack smelt like strawberry (6/10), a clarins firming lotion (9/10) & am now wading through 1 of 2 huge bottles of Dove (Dad bought them for Mum cos on offer @ 50p, being discontinued, she didn't like to passed them on to me) & quite frankly its getting about 3 out of 10 because it smells nice! it very watery, so doesnt go on nicely & skin is dry & flaky.
I can't decide whether to carry on with it, or give up, not be green or MSE & chuck it out.......I have at least 2 other sanctuary ones to use so it wouldn't cost me anything........
I'd use the Dove stuff (cant stand it myself) for the tops of my feet or some other random place. Don't bin it!
ooo what a ramble!!

I've had a lovely couple of days!!
Went to friends for lunch on Wednesday, walloed in her hot-tub for an hour until pink & wrinkly, VERY pleasant. Then did race for life, v hot, but nice surroundings for evening walk.
Went with neighbour, her OH was on dog n daughter duty, so my OH cooked for us when we got back....9.30ish & still warm enough to eat outside, v pleasant with glass of vino to ease the muscles. (plus it was NSD!!!)
yesterday went to seaside with bestest friend, very relaxing, fresh air, ice cream, walk on beach & then reading & dozing in the sun.
this morning I met another friend for coffee (member of the redundant club), she starts her new job on monday & was very touched that I'd got her leaving card - maynot have been a NSD, but it was worth it
Now I want to be taking it easy in preparation for TAKE THAT tomorrow, but have housework & job hunting to do...& I don't feel inspired to do either
One job I do need to get done is list this undated 20p on ebay!!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Its days like these that make you wonder how on earth you ever had time for a job! So many social engagements and errand running can take up a whole week!** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010

hi have just read your diary with interest as you sound so similar to me in some of your posts! i was not made redundant but am a stay at home mum so dont work and have huge debts! oh and house is a tip, thats what spending 12 hours a day running after a 2 year old does!
well done for becoming debt free and trying to stay it!
on a random note, valued opinions wont let you sign in at the end of a survey page to check balance, close window and start again at their website, works for me anyway!
am thinking about doing my own diary but still a little nervous, the usual putting it down makes it real scenarioSAHM getting organised 2010.

:wave:hello!
tis true, the diary makes it real, but its also keeping me almost sane while job hunting....can't say its completely doing the trick, but then again wasn't all there before I started!
I read loads of others first, then had idea in my head for months before taking the plunge & I'm glad I did...it helps to organise & focus the brain
I just wish I could offer more useful advise to others, like they have to me!
20 hours to Take That & countingI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Say hi to the boys and party your pants off. Sposed to be an amazing show! ENJOY!** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010

OMG TAKE THAT were awesome
actually they were better than that!!! food @ wembley was pricey but you got loads, so lesson learnt for next time- one meal between 2! also made good use of the taps rather than pay £2 for bottles of water there - took bottle with me, staff removed the lid, but that didnt prevent copious refils so was a little:money:.
My friend had the chance to go again on Sunday, but decided against it cos she wouldn't be able to get up for work today....now I know I'm an out of work bum...but I would have gone!!!!
restless today, for reasons that I can't explain, or I could, but not sure about sharing quite that much still!!! anyway, need to try & concentrate on job applications.........I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
I am now registered on Jobsite (having seen the advert at Take That on Saturday figured it was worth a shot)
& have applied for 3 jobs I found on there - all temporary but it would do
Washing machine is on (all down to reading Golden Gooses diary, & seeing her list!) & I've finally finished emptying dishwasher, will go make bed then look for more jobs.....the 13 week thing is fast approaching, really would like to avoid it if at all possible...I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
well after weeks of talking about it, I've finally done it, have sold my soul to the devil & sent CV off to ex-employers biggest competition.....kind of hoping that becuase they keen to 'work with' (ie buy) ex-employer, they may want me for inside information!!!!
Probably find that they will ignore me too!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0
