well thats not a bad result....... first interview in 12 years & I'm in 2nd place - first choice has accepted the position, they are now talking to budget holder & personnel about taking on a second person...which would be me.....unless I get an alternative offer .

Feedback was reasonable - the felt I was probably (??!!!!) nervous which is why I talked a bit too much...i can appreciate that, less nerves next time now & I'll get to 1st place!

Aw what a shame you came second but hopefully their budget will allow for a second person, or first person will get a better offer / hate it meaning they can offer you the job. Fingers crossed x

I get it to work by clicking the "speech quotes" looking button (Which should be the multi-quote one) as many times as I need to in order to highlight say 4 posts, then click "Quote" on the last one. It then multi-quotes for me.

You can't multi-quote over two pages though.

    todays plan

Signing up with new agency & ruin a perfectly good NSD by paying for parking.

Interview preparation for tomorrow, got some questionnaires to complete for that

Staff Mortgage rate ends today :cry:. I did like having about £76000 on 0%!!!! Have asked my friend to check what the revised payment will be cos I don't trust them to let me know...or to do it right!!!
On the plus side, it does mean i can call the tax office & get them to change my tax code to that of a normal person!

& then I think I'll do a bit of climbing the ironing mountain

having interviews has meant I've slowed down on the application front, which is not good, especially as I've got the 13 week thing @ Job Centre next Tuesday. really need to get back on that horse, just incase things don't pan out as I hope

also REALLY need to get a grip on weight - my clothes are straining at the seems.....so tonights Lasagne will but split into 6 instead of 4....
Started making smoothies the other day, first one was pretty good (banana & strawberry) yesterdays was iffy (apple & banana) so added strawberries & YUM - made lollies too so have healthy cooling in freezer plus have used decidedly iffy fruit in them so no wastage, woohoo

meal plan also required for next week, got a bit lazy again this week which probably isn't helping with the weight issue!!

I might even add weight loss to signature as added incentive...works for others.....

Having a confidence crisis which is NOT good as have interview @ 1.30!!!

I know its just a phase & its probably natural - was in comfort zone for so long in previous role and would probably never have left. Now not working is comfort zone but I can't stay at home forever!!
it was disheartening not getting responses from applications, interviews mean that I could actually be back in work which is taking me wayyyy outside the comfort zone again!!!

need to get a grip, am sure it will all be better once I get my suit on, strange how clothes can make such a difference!

Please can it stop raining though, the last thing I need is to be all suited & booted but have the weather frizz my hair!!!:rotfl:

  • The bad weather will give you something to talk about!

    Good luck for the interview.

Trust me, the more you go to, the more confident you get. Don't forget you are interviewing them also. Its a two way street Mrs.

got there before it rained so hair stayed frizz free

It was completely different to the one on Tuesday & I'm still not sure what that part of the council does!!! I don't think I'll get it though, I think one of my answers with regards to meetings & minutes will have let me down.
but its all practice & its the one next Tuesday that I really want...

weather was also a bit of a put off as it kept thundering during the talky bit!

Have no idea when they'll let me know - how rubbish am I?!!

got totally drenched on way back to car, despite the brolly!!! roads were awful on the huge 2 mile drive home, so didnt bother with petrol - considering the cars been on 1/4 tank for the last week thats not bad going!!!:rotfl:
