Hi Lurker
I have just read through your diary and wanted to say good luck with the job hunting. I too work in FS and, like you, got fed up with sales side. Luckily I was able to transfer to a different department and am much happier but working for a big bank who just merged with another big bank I am concious that my job may be at risk somewhere down the line. I am impressed with how positive you are - I would have been in absoloute pieces - keep at it!
We are also on mission:baby and I wish you luck with that too.
XSpender xSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Thanks XSpender, although I'm not so sure about the positive bit -was at first, but the lack of responses to my applications is concerning!
I've fallen apart a number of times, the thought of tribunal was very scary so am releived that ex-work increased the offer after solicitor threatened them - legally of course!
Theres part of me that is quite enjoying the time off, although I'm sure when I had less time to myself I got more done, have slowed down alot
Quite like the idea of attemtping to start work in September, nice sunny summer off, get house & garden all sorted the way i want it (& have been trying to get it for the last 8 years)
A girl can dream!!
Good luck with your baby mission too!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -

The plan is to transfer £1000 of the hush money each month. Groceries & everything else will come from JSA
Within the £1000, theres 'other' (which I've never had before) & I've allowed about £75 extra onto of mortgage payment - thats going into a seperate account so I can make lump sum repyaments now & again.
nothing seperate for gas as the £70 is combined
Car account is to cover the tax MOT servicing on 2 cars, insurance is paid for by OH (multicar policy)
any views would be appreciated, but please be gentle with me!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -

Well I'm not having a good week
Think PMT is making me restless, can't settle to anything except reading loads n loads of DFW diaries!!!!
I had a list of things to do this week & have managed to cross off a big fat zero of them
no jobs in this weeks papers but need to cheer myself up as am out tonight at a leaving party for someone I used to work with. Most of the people going are friends of mine, but some of them, well, lets just say I want my 'everything in my garden is rosy despite having no job' face on.
does that make any sense?
Really need a good shaking....or maybe a good cry would do.
Either way I need to get butt away from computer & do SOMETHING
aaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Its an important day to me today, probably one that will provide true 'closure' on my 11 years with exemployer.
The office (plus 3 others) where I began my career with them will close. When this was announced at beginning of the year, I decided then & there that I would be there on the last day - after all, I was there on the day the office opened.
Not sure if it will be an emotional thing or not, in some ways I still don't believe its happening, always hoped there would be a change of heart from the PTB....but no, just a complete back turn on mission statement!!
anyway, after today really will stop moping about, whats done is done, wouldnt have liked working for them any more anyway.I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
