    hi JoKay,
leaving do was GOOD, 2 course meal plus 2 drinks for....£2!!
only paid for the drinks as ex employer paid - I did offer to pay for my share (with fingers & toes crossed that it would be declined) so that eased the conscience a little
saw a couple of people who couldn't make my leaving do so that was nice

as for the office closure, 4 ex-staff popped in, we have cake, nibbles & posh coffees. it was dignified and I'm glad I went.

visit to Mr T on Friday night seriously brought out the PMT monsterleading to explosion on Saturday morning, OH & i are back on speaking terms, but its was a rough ride!

Back in the mellow world again now, just on major painkillers instead, hey ho, trials & tribblelations of being female eh?!

Got job application to do & then will begin the expedition to the summit of the ironing mountain....

also, must drink 4 big glasses of water, have my 5-a day & doing something on the wii (or other exercise) weight loss is necessary or will need lots of new bigger clothes!!

yikes, that was a bit of a ramble......

& yet another day gone with nowt to show for it
Part completed the job application, thats to be finished & posted today
easily managed the 5-a day...sweetcorn, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, celery, beetroot, spring onion, pineapple, peppers & strawberries....not all at same time I might add!! all yummy though

today I have made the bed, emptied & reloaded dishwasher & had breakfast & drank the first HUGE glass of water.
Should hit the 5 a day again, woo hoo

enough rambling, job applications & phone calls to make.....

Finally finished the job application & its about to be posted
have learnt something today - I have lost the ability to write!!!
can tap away on keyboard to hearts content & get the chance to change spelling mistakes - not so when using a pen

back to basics might be an idea

have had 4 out of my 5 a day so far, & about 4 HUGE glasses of water (yup am now peeing for the county) so healthy eating is going ok

got survey booked for house insulation upgrade so thats a job done which could reduce some bills as well as make me feel i'm doing a bit to save to world

cuppa in the garden time i think

    Hi Lurker

Glad the leaving do went well, especially as the meal was paid for!

LOL re the PMT - I've just had a hysterectomy, so it will be interesting to see how my moods change (or not!) now. I've never suffered with PMT in any major way (although my OH might say differently!).

Glad to see the healthy eating is going well - I've put on half a stone in the time I've been off. Thankfully I'm going back to work on Monday, and have restarted my gym membership - I can't wait to get some exercise and try to get this weight off! I too have upped my fruit and veg intake over the last week or so, but can't see any major effect on the scales yet.

What I've definitely found out while I've been off is that its true that the busier you are, the more you get done. I've not achieved anything I'd planned for - the days just merged together, I watched too much TV and did hardly anything... cos I just couldn't be bothered, I had no motivation. I did find though that on the days that I got up, showered, dressed and made up, I had much more get up and go.

Anyway, enough rambling from me - need to get on with some online banking!

hit the 5 a day again yesterday, sweetcorn, peppers, peaches, banana & oj, but the increased water intake is currently having a bloating effect - I know that will pass within week...or at least I hope so!

will hit it again today, oj & cranberry juice, banana for mid morning snack, then salad for lunch - easy

Got job application posted last night, so fingers are again crossed for that one, another one to do today, but thats an online one (thank heavens, my arm couldn't handle more writing)

need to walk to shop to get some mushrooms for tea...might try & find pedometer too & then must do some ironing - OH has no shirts for work!

have made the bed, emptied & reloaded dishwasher, emptied the upstairs bins, checked loo roll supplies & put washing on
plan is to do 1 basket of ironing & then hoover downstairs & the stairs & landing

JoKay - OH is keen on joining local gym but I'm not so keen, would you say its worth it?

The key here is working out whether or not he'd actually use it!

I joined my gym with every best intention, and haven't used it as much as I planned :o. However, I did decide to pay an additional £3 per month to go for the 6 month subscription, as I didn't want to be tied in to a 12 month term, just in case I didn't end up using it!

To be fair, I costs me £10 per week, and I go swimming with DD (who also has a subscription to the kids gym) and that saves me about £4, so I only have to go to a class or the gym to make it worthwhile.

What I've worked out is that you have to plan when your you're going to go and actually GO! As I'm really keen to get moving again and am on a phased return to work, my plan is to go every day to do something, even it is just a swim. Hopefully over the month I can get my fitness levels back up again and drop a few pounds! ;)

    HTH!

the good thing with it is that theres no tie in, just a months notice
we would get corporate discount, its local, his nibs could go on way to work, or on way home
I'm fairly sure I'd only use the swimming pool - can't do anything that puts strain on my knees, thems is totally kaput & it would probably be cheaper to go to the council pool although it is further away
He needs to do a belly-ectomy, has gained 2-3 stone in last 2 years having given up the evil weed :T:T (can you tell I'm proud of him) so having instructor person tell him what he needs to do could help with that.
They've given us a weeks free trial pass......but even that could just be the novelty.......

oo just remembered something good - after 2 year have earnt enough for first vauled opinions voucher - kept not qualifying but persevered, woo hoo

well the walk to village shop has been cancelled, its now a drive into town (3 miles away) picking up OH on way - he needs to go to mobile phone shop & I need to bank my hush money cheque - could post it but that will cause a days delay in clearance!!

Well in that case, I'd go for it - but if he hasn't used it after a month, get rid of it!!

cheque got banked, woo hoo, have money!
went to Mr S, needed bread & mushrooms....& spent £9.15!!!! but they did have OH's preferred coffee on offer so I took advantage of that

Got some ironing done & part of a job application completed.

Had my 5-aday again & not quite as much water, but getting there

have sold a book on GM so that will be a walk to post office.

More ironing today, plus some more hoovering I think, may even venture into a kitchen cupboard & see what can be evicted from it....

Hope the sun stay out for everyone
