Blondie - Anyone can make a smarties cake, my Mum's recepie is fool proof (or so she says):
Weigh 3 eggs (still in their shells), say they weigh 8oz, you then need 8oz self raising flour, 8oz Sugur and 8 oz of butter. Mix it all in a bowl and add a few drops of vanilla essence and a tube or two of smarties. Use two round cake tins (line with grease proof paper) and put half the mixture in each tin. Cook it in teh oven on about 180 for about 15-20 mins (or until the cake is golden on top and firm to touch).
Then for the creame all you need is to mix together icing sugur and marge to make a creamy filling (keep tasting until it is just right) and add another tube or smarties (or chocolate buttons).
I love cake if you cant tell

Ebonylight - You must work very near me. I am close to the big House of Fraser (and the new 'New Look').
It is a nice area to work in.

HI Blondie and ladies.
Blondie - just checking to see how you are doing! Sorry to hear about the sheets - I have done that before but I hang everything on the line since I got a £168 electricity bill for one month in January! I have nothing exciting to report. Literally we do not have one penny until Tueday, but we do have food in
Re the engagement party - arghhhh! Wouldn't it be better if you could have a party with all your Blondie ladies instead... Hope you are doing ok - great to hear about the interview. If you feel up to it - why not? Who knows what might happen. Hope you are ok. As for the dry mouth - ginger tea, camomile tea or sugar free gum will hellp (plus the former 2 are calming and good for digestion.
I dare not hang any washing out after yesterday's knickers and bras on the tractor disaster, - its so windy here again -so I am lost for something to do. Think I might make a chicken and mushroom pie for dinner xxx0 -

You make pie? Is it as good as pukka pies? Can you make me one
Have you not got like a wire clothes rack to put wet things on? Near a radiator or a fire? That's what I do. Rotate the clothes on it and they dry in a day or so. Saves the horses having to avert their eyes anyway :rotfl:End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

Rosered can I please come and live with you? If you make your own pies (my favourite thing ever even more so than cakes) and get free tractor rides then I want in. London is dingy and crowded and has no tractors.
All this talk of pies and cakes is killing me (Tasha your mum's cake sounds incredible!!). At this rate I might have to dash next door to Barstucks for overpriced carrot cake...

Hi Ebonylight - good tip about the clothes - I will wait till I have the heating on! I do make pies and stuff since my work contract finished in Jan. Never had time to when I was working as I worked all hours under the sun. It keeps my oout of trouble!0
