Good morning ladies (and gents if there are any, I can't remember)

So horses that roll their eyes at large bras, apprentice, and inboxes full of work.... what a normal day today will be :rotfl:

If I get chance I am SO joining the free scratchcards, I never really bothered before but I'm sick of being skint!! Sounds like it might be worthwhile as well!

Also anyone got a heads up on the next ebay 10p listing day?

    :)
    End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt :(
    Today's total: £7,297.06 :o

    Morning ebonylight,

I was thinking about the scratchcards too, but being a novice, how do you get them? There is probably a thread on here but guess I haven't found it yet!

It's well worth doing - you're guaranteed 20p a day if you do Take a Break and Butlins, although I usually make more. Since 8th March, I've made £26.35 for about 2-3 mins a day, which is money for nothing really. Only trick is not being tempted to use it all playing bingo afterwards :rotfl:

Thanks LaurenManchester, will give it a go!
  • Morning all!

Tilly your week does sound great!

Hope your all ok this morning??? I had a bit of a scare lat night with my washing machine! I put on my bed sheets (as i love the smell of clean ones) and then set the dial to do a 60 mins tumble dry after. Heard a loud clunck and all the buttons were flashing and it sounded like a NASA space-shuttle! LOL
I got the man next store to come in and rescue my bed sheets, but they smell sightly 'burnt'. Opps.

Today i am going to make my mum a birthday cake (from scratch before you accuse me of cheating like i did last time!) as its her bday tomorrow.

10p listing day on ebay sounds good. Might have to hunt around and find out...

  • Lauren - i love bingo! All the old ladies sneaking drinks in and glaring at you if you shout 'full house'. They all have about 2 million cards going at the same time!

    Morning Blondie,

My mum is one of those with 2 million cards at the one time - she also keeps winning :j

Sorry to hear about your poor sheets, might just have to give the washing machine a wee rest, maybe you overworked it. Well I'm off on holiday now for a few days, will try to catch up over the weekend, going to be gutted not keeping up but my housework needs done more than my need for chatter! Or does it....

Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend, catch you later x

Haha NASA Space shuttle!! Blimey... maybe a bit of the duvet cover got caught in the little holes, does it have buttons on it??

When I move I might treat myself to a new duvet set, mine are really old and worn through :(

    Afternoon all!

Blondie, how's tricks? I do hope the onerous thud on the mat yesterday was not a clutch of bills and was instead a load of innocuous pizza menus or something! Sorry to hear about your sheets - can you air them on the line for a bit or do you not have outside space? My flat does have communal gardens but I live in Brixton. If I aired my laundry outside it would be gone before I'd gone back inside the house ;)

I shipped my first few things from ebay sales yesterday but I have to say I'm a tad disollutioned with the whole experience! I listed 5 things initially, sold 3 of them so that's fine but they all went of less than £4 (one for 99p) and with the listing maintenance/shipping hassle I'm not sure it's worth it really!

Tilly - I want to go on a cupcake course!!!! Am just going to daydream about that for a little while...mmmm...cake.
