Hi ladies - thank you SO MUCH - because I had the day from hell today, one way or another - and just when I thought that I was as low as I've been for a long time....I read Rosered's post about fancying Patrick from eastenders - and commenting on his lovely teeth:rotfl: I snorted out my tea all over my computer at work and then proceeded to start crying with laughter. All in my office were just looking at me - but thankfully they think I'm a bit nuts anyway and humour me.
Have caught up with the rest of the thread now - and seriously I have had the sort of day when I thought my depression was on its way back (its amazing how many of us have been there isn't it? ) - a little scary, but you guys have totally helped. I am picturing the tractor/underwear/farmer shenanigans as I type :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hi Rupe! Sorry you had a bad day! I do miss working but sometimes life is as interesting being on the farm! yesterday I had a bit of cabin fever after being in for days, and the farmer's wife took me for a ride out to the combine harvester shop in Tadcaster - the highlight of my day - but it was fun to be out and about. Hope you and all ladies have a good evening. I am going to watch the Apprentice and desperate housewives (if its on).
Love to Blondie and you all xxx0 -
Hi everyone,
it sounds like it's been an interesting day - strange crushes and runaway underwear!!!
Blondie - can't believe that HE actually commented on your thread [- sigh!] and you confessed your crush - you go, girl! (God, I'm sorry, I really seem to be channeling Oprah at the moment).
Sorry it's been a bad day, Rupe, there seems to be too many of them going around at the moment, may I suggest chocolate, wine and the Apprentice as a possible painkiller?
Re comping, it's a good idea, but it is really addictive. I haven't won much this year, but I've probably comped for a good couple of hours a day. I did win a shower in January - it just turned up on my doorstep one day (strange because I don't remember entering a comp for one, and I didn't need one). I was able to sell it on ebay for £150. But other than that, I've won a cd, a dvd and some toiletries. It is lovely, however, when the postie turns up with something other than the bills...Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

LOL a shower turning up on your doorstep - that is brilliant! I'm going to start comping now if random things like that come of it0 -

I JUST WON MORE MONEY OMG OMG OMG. I thought I'd buy some 50p tickets with my winnings and I WOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Wow I'm about having a heart attack. There's £121 in my account.
Somebody fetch me a paper bag I can't breathe:eek: *faints*
I'm going to do my free scratchies now- 10p for me I bet:rolleyes:0 -
Woah - not been on since saturday and just had 10 pages to catch up on!!...so many things i would want to quote but lots of other stuff has been said in the mean time so won't confuse the situation!!
I said it before, and it is more true now than ever - some of the threads on the main forum seem to have some really harsh people on them...but everyone here is so supportive, even if they are experiencing some truly difficult times. I think that makes this a very special place to be.
Anyway, I second the vin diesel/christian bale appreciation society, but still don't get the Noel Edmonds vibe...or the Alan Sugar thing either.
If I watch the apprentice I might just get myself angry as there are usually a few muppets on there and do not feel very muppet-tolerant at the moment...just eaten too many jelly beans and feel like 'a herd of baby elephants'..actually scrap that...i feel like 'a herd of adult elephants'..urrghh.. that will teach me x
[notes to self - don't stay away so long next time and DON'T EAT SO MANY JELLY BEANS!!!]0 -
Catherine, I missed that completely - congratulations on your win!

So did you get 'a brand new combine harvester' then Rosered?!
Morning Ladies,
I came in to work today thinking I'd be lazing around cos have got a half day and off tomorrow :j only to find my inbox jam packed with work
Oh well will crack on cos can't wait to get out of here, taking my mum for lunch for Mother's Day. She said last night do we need to go for lunch (as if she really didn't want to go) then proceeded to chose a fairly expensive but very nice restuarant. Guess that means beans on toast for me the rest of the week
Sounds like a good week or so for you Tilly, always good to have something to look foward to!0
