they have on a few occasions taken more than 40% and its been highlighted at a face to face interview but csa dont do anything about it, im on a deo and thats that!
thats why im going thru ICE to get the CSA to sort itself out, cant see why they cant just take the same amount each month, my wages dont fluctuate
Same here, but in my case the fact that they took much more than 40% made me homeless.
They know they made me homeless, but because I am on a DEO they ain't bothered. I very nearly gave up work due to the stress I was under.
I ended up living in my car (old I hasten to add) and using facilities at friends house.
I now doss down at friends houses in rotation. The CSA have a permanent correspondence address for me (legally required) although I do not live there.0 -
pd001, sorry to hear about your situation m8, keep the chin up and dont let the bassa's get you down
tasmin1982, my mp has sent them a letter, just awaiting a reply, ive since done 2 email complaints, still no word back from them either
both parents get different amounts my youngest childs mother only gets £38 per week from them and the rest goes to my oldest childs mother who is winning under phasing!!0 -
Why are they taking so much?
On £27k pa you should be paying £342pm which works out at 20% of your net income. If you keep the children overnight or have any other children it reduces.
Why did you ask for a reassessment? You know you didn't need to do that.
If it were me and i did not have enough left to live on, i'd simply give up work, as you have to ask yourself, what is the point?
£722 out of a £1712 salary is around 42%, more than double what you should be paying.0 -

Agreed...been there, thought that in my darker moments
However having nothing to do at all has gotta be sooooooo boring.
I decided just to take it in my stride and keep working. I happen to have very good friends who have helped me with places to doss down.0 -
You should have a Protected earnings proportion in place, which your employer should leave you with. As long as this is in place, and you are not fallen below this, the deductions will remain as per your crazy schedule. It maybe worth checking to see if they are breaching it.0

ive checked my protected earnings and ever since i have dealt with csa my protected earning have never changed although my earnings have went up. the csa say my protected earnings are set at £920
why give up work? to do what go on the dole, sorry thats not for me, ive never claimed dole money and hopefully never will in the future, ive just learned to ride the storm
the reasons my payments are so hig is becuse i like many other NRP's gave my first ex cash in hand and she denied this, thus leaving me with arrears, she is also getting the extra money because of phasing, so its win win for her, and a life of poverty for me
end of jan 2011 is when her phasing finishes and arrears will all be paid off and i will go onto more realistic payments, thats all ive got to look forward too!
CSA have went over their deadline of ICE's recommendations by nearly a month! no interim letter or anything! all i can do is lie back and let them try to destroy me with their ludicrous amounts on a DEO
and get what after the CSA finally get their finger out! a consolotary payment of about £50 and a fake apology0 -
giving up work wouldnt solve anything, as soon as another job was found itd start straight back up again.
But if you did quit then your payments would pretty much disappear, and both pwc would get pretty much nothing - If you got re employed would phasing still be there? the argument of needing to get used to the drop in income will have gone surely?0 -
That seems a ludicras amount to take from your wages, but i have to say, good on you for paying your dues, you've put your childrens welfare before your own and it shows what a decent bloke you are. I hope that it gets sorted soonHad my amazing little girlie 08/12/2007 - 11 days late! 9lbs 3oz
