Wow this 25% or should i say 100% off meat is a great one. I bagged £185. of beef, lamb and pork today, plus colin and justin book for the sake of it! Got no more room in freezer.
I noticed a sign up saying "on bulk purchases no more than 6 r & rs, any more than 6 they will refund the difference." The guy that served me didnt have a calculator or a clue about how to take off 25%so r & rd the lot.0 -
Did shop in Tescos on Friday, only shop there occasionally, usally use Asda.
But one thing I bought was a bag of Potatoes (Bakers) went to use them that evening and several were bad on the inside. So Saturday I took them back, CS lady looked at them and said they were frosted! would report to HO, asked for my name address and phone number which I gave, she said that would be emailed straight to HO. I had no apology, was given my money back. This happened to me at Asda last year and I had an apology money back and a replacement product. I thought it would have been nice for Tesco's to have given me another bag of potatoes and an apology, is this the usual treatment from Tesco?

Yep, I had some chicken portions that OH went to cook for dinner - use by date was that day - and they reeked of rotting meat and had a slight green tinge to them. Nice.
Had to rush around organising something else for dinner, make a special trip back to get them refunded - not too far but still inconvenient - and all I got was the cost price refunded.
Still, I'm not too aggrieved, it's not like Tesco aren't generous in other ways0 -

A bulk purchase sign, eh??? anyone else spotted one of these and are they actually allowed to do it ? After all policy is central surely, can individual stores tack bits on as they see fit?? If that is the case then will we be seeing notices stuck on the bottom of the policy poster? ie not applicable on electrical items, mobile phones, bulk purchases, and out of date offers (to mention but a few of their previous excuses when trying to wriggle out of refunds).credit card debt at LBM Nov 2006 £11,300:eek:
credit card debt now £0000000000000!!! :j

bulk purchase signs are commonplace in a lot of stores from my experiance. mainly to stop greedy grabbers getting excessive amounts of TV`s and the like.0

Quite a few reports on here of bulk buy policies at individual stores. However, as the refund on overcharge policy is stated on the website, I dont think they'd get away with over-riding it.
There's a tatty notice actually sellotaped flat on the desk surface of the Customer Service Desk at my local store, says max of 6 food items and 1 non food item. No other signs up round the shop or at the till.
As your attention can't be drawn to it until AFTER you've completed the transaction, I can't see that they can then subsequently use it to deny refunds.
I got R&R on 2 toy cars the other day and no mention was made of any bulk buy policy in any case!0 -
You would have though if they have rules about bulk purchases they should be clearly advertising this as you walk in the store so you can make a decision on whether you want to shop there or not, After all when you go to a cash and carry they generally have "trade card holders only" or words to that effect so you know the rules within the storeRunning total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan
