Tesco Extra is the name for Tesco's online section that isn't the grocery department, things like entertainment and electrical stuff. SO the price on there doesn't relate to the actual storesTitch0 -

Tesco EXTRA is also the name for some of their larger retail stores0 -
Went up my local Tesco yesterday and while I looked for misprices wifey went to CS to take back a top that I didn't want. While she was there a customer complained that they had been overcharged for an item, the CS woman didn't know what to do so the woman stormed off without challenging it further. Shame it wasn't me up there cos I would've told her exactly what to do!
On a slightly different note I looked at handsfree kits and suchlike for mobiles, one range had a pack price of £6.99 but the SEL showed £6.97. Another mobile accessory I found said £4.99 on the pack and about £1.29 on the SEL!
I am yet to do a R&R, I'm not good at doing stuff like that but I did hunt out the Teknica DVD players which had all had their SEL removed.Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory0 -
Thanks for the advice about out of date offers, I was wondering about those.
Had my first r+r on two Technika DVD players, fantastic! Had to wait until the next day as the night manager said he wasn't sure if policy extended to 'large electrical items'.
It seems there is some way of checking if an item is going to scan incorrectly, how is this done, for example the 2 for £10 kids DVD's, how do you know which ones don't work?
Advice please
Thanks
ps I love this forum, have registered with quidco and got my first £15 by signing up for free DVD offer with Blockbuster and had it extended to 2 months using promotion code. Money for nothin, Yipee :j0 -

With the ones I got, I didn't know until I'd paid (on this occasion), but they scanned at a price different to the £5.97 so the 2 for £10 didn't kick in. You could try scanning them on a price check scanner (I tried with my 2nd lot but it wouldn't work because of the security casing).
One of them scanned at £4.96, instead of £5.97 and the other at £5.99 so the total for the 2 was over £10 - if both of them had scanned at £4.96 then there wouldn't have been an overcharge as the total would have been under £10. Hope that's not too confusing!0 -

Thanks Addy, I'm sure some people check things as they go along, read one were she had checked the entire top 50 CD's, must be a price checker tool somewhere in my store. I will have to ask when I go this morning0 -

Picked up a technika 105 dvd player on my morning shop today .
Sel at £27.49 ish charged £29.97 .
Lady at CS went off to investigate lol and insisted i remained at CS desk.
She came back and said sel said it was for technika 104 dvd player, i asked to see the sel where it said that as i knew full well it said technika 105 dvd player. She replied the manager has removed it and she doesnt know where he is now.
I asked to see the manager and after 10 minutes of waiting she comes back and says she cant find him .
I tell her my chilled and frozen shopping is getting ruined and she reluctantly gives me my money back.
Im happy i got the result in the end but really dont see the need for all the silly games CS play in trying to wriggle out of a head office policy.

I purchased 2 mobiles last week (not the r&r ones) but i have since found out about the motorola v171's and i knew my store had these leaflets.
A bit cheeky i know but i decided i was going to get a refund on my mobiles and try and get the v171's on r&r only to be told by customer services that you cannot return mobiles.
Is this correct? i've looked at their refund policy online and it doesn't stipulate only certain items may be returned it just says if your not happy or you change your mind take it beack within 28 days
Can anyone enlighten me pleaseRunning total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan
