Hi everyone, hope you are all well!! Sorry I've not been around much thinngs have been pretty hectic around here. Don't think I would make a good bailiff TDQO but running a brothel is definately something I could do!!
Haven't managed to pay off the overdraft this month, however I am only overdrawn now by £474.36 which is the lowest it's ever been so I'm well pleased!! Going to give the Ebaying a break for the next few weeks as I've got exams at college soon and really need to be concentrating on them!!

I've been bad!!
Very bad indeed, I'm so ashamed  I have spent an absolute fortune in the last couple of weeks. I've just been burying my head in the sand which I know is just so wrong. Instead of checking my online banking at least twice a day like I used to, I haven't checked it in so long I forgot my password! I am now £720.28 into my overdraft  but I'm going to draw a line under this experience as I feel so terrible about it. So I'm starting over yet again. I'm going to reduce my overdraft to £750 tonight so I'm not tempted to spend anymore!!!

Aw, Laura~
I've only just caught up on your diary, you've done so well and I really hope your bout of 'naughtiness' doesn't bring you down too much! I too have difficulty sometimes, and I can be doing so well and then I just give up and give in to temptation.
It's good that you've reduced your overdraft limit though! Fantastic news, I hope you manage to keep under the limit though, definately something to watch out for.
Are you doing daily scratches yet? I can offer you a little advice on them if you'd like?0 -
Hi Olliegami, I've not had a chance to look at the scrathcards yet but I'm definately going to do that. I might by calling on you soon for some advice!!
Well that's the overdraft reduced now to £700 :T I should definately be rid of it within the next two months and then I can concentrate on the loan. I've arranged to do some overtime at work over the next couple of weeks as I'm off college, really need to get stuck into some studying though. I put a few things on Ebay over the weekend and a few of them have sold already at buy it now. I'm going to try and set aside an hour each day to put a few items on as I have so much junk lying around! I've got so much rubbish I'm convinced I could be debt free if I sold it all!! Unfortunately I've just not got the time at the moment to get everything on Ebay, can't wait until college finishes and I don't have the stress of exams and I can make a good effort with it. I'm off now to have to try and get some things on.

Hey Laura,
Excuse the random time, I'm currently on Holiday in Florida (Tell me what part of that is Debt-Free? ^^;)
The scratchcards are actually really simple. I use two websites, out of a little fear of getting all my accounts shut down at St Minver.
The first is: Take a Break Bingo you deposit £10, and play the scratchcard - To do this, you have to log in to the bingo game, and there's an icon there that says 'Free Daily Scratchcard' Once you've played it, you can withdraw your money - however, with Take a Break you have to send them some I.D so watch out if you really need the £10.
The other website I use is Butlins Bingo, again, you pay £10 into your account, do the scratchcard (although on this website, there's a tab to take you to it.) You don't need to give them proof of ID to be able to withdraw, just do the scratchcard and then withdraw your £10 - I find Butlins Bingo was really quick to refund me the money.
From then, you can play the scratchcard every day and withdraw when you have £10 or more - just make sure you have at least 10p in your account to play the scratchcard and you'll be fine!
It's a nice way of making a little money - but I find it's quite fun.
As for your debts, it's really good to hear you've back on the straight and narrow!
Keep up the fantastic work.0 -
it's not a bad return either (the scratch cards i mean) for a few minutes investment of the same £10 (did Butlins, took it out and then put into TAB, took it out) i've managed to get £40 since Christmas. Couldn't get better interest anywhere else really, and it only takes a second or two.0

Thanks Olliegami and Lemon Tree, I will have a look in the scratchcards soon. At the moment I don't have a spare £10 as I've put all my spare cash into the overdraft account!
I've set myself a little mini challenge. Have my debt down to £15,000 by 8th June 09. I've got £1,211.07 to go. That's the date of my last exam and then over the summer I'm going to throw myself 100% into this debt busting. At the moment I don't have the time to do everything I want to do such as surveys, bingo etc. I try and do a bit of Ebaying every few days but I really should be studying more!!

Got my college bursary paid into my account yesterday and transferred it (£306.25) to my overdraft account so that's it down to -£381.06 which I have never seen before!!
I was planning on taking my friends kids to the local soft play place today but have decided we will go a walk instead to save some pennies. Bought the kids some Easter stuff (out the £ shop) but need to try and find a basket or something to put them in. Hopefully my only spends for today will be the baskets and I'll maybe treat the kids to an ice cream later if they're good!
Budget for today - £10

That's fantastic news about your overdraft now, and well done for not falling victim to paying out more money than you need to to have fun with your friend's kids!
I really hope I manage to reduce my debt like you are - but I don't really get any income besides my wages, so it's all very slow progress.
Hope you keep to your budget for the day!0 -
well done on the overdraft balance it's great to see it keep coming down isn't it?0
