I've just checked the cupboards and they are bare!! My mum left me money to get stuff in so I'm going to go to the supermarket and hopefully stock up until well into next week. Also need to get some bits for my friends sons birthday next week.
Budget for shops £10 (for my things)

our cupboards were bare as well, but made the mistake of shopping with OH so spent more than planned but we did have to rattle round the shops as had to get home in time for OH to go to work. I've been wondering if the reason we always seem to overspend in the shops is because i have unrealistic expectations of what i can get the shopping in at.0

I haven't really been keeping a running total of my £15 a day challenge but will start doing this every day. Here's what I have done so far from what I can remember:
- 30p from free daily scratchcards
- £2.75 emptied out my purse
- 50p I found in the street
- 15p surveys

Ok I've just tried to roughly work out my debt free date. From my calculations (which could be wrong...) I've realised I could be debt free by April 2011 which would be absolutely fantastic!!!
I've based this on putting £775 towards my debts every month. This is a huge scary figure for me but I have seen from other lovely people on here that it can be done. Things are a little hazy at the moment as I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing after the Summer (college + part time work or full time work who knows??) but this is my rough aim! By April 2011 I will be 25 and can then start saving towards a deposit etc for my own house!
My signature and these figures are based on my loan and interest if I just paid the minimum every month so this would obviously mean that the total figure I have used for my debt free date is more than my debt will be so for the first time ever I will actually have savings!!
Think I'm getting a bit carried away now!! Hope this all makes sense for anyone who's reading

Wow you've made great progress here, keep it up!The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

Hi everyone :hello:
I got a nice suprise when I opened my mail this morning. A nice cheque for £24.02 from the Halifax! Turns out I've had a savings account with them which I didn't know about and as it's not been used for ages they've closed it and sent me a cheque for the balance!
Today I'm hoping to go out and get everything that involves been out of the house done. It's my friends sons birthday party on Thursday but other than that hopefully I won't need to leave the house. The weather here is terrible and I'm becoming such a homebody these days I just don't wana go out! Anyway here is what I have done today towards my £15 a day challenge:- received cheque for £24.02 from Halifax
- daily scrathcard - 20p
- survey - 5p

Just amended my signature as it was beginning to get a bit confusing. I now have a speadsheet which shows the balance of each account I have which I will update daily (I love working think things out and doing calculations especially when I see my debt going down!!) My signature now shows exactly what I'm aiming for just now and is a constant reminder of the targets I need to meet.
Just about to go shopping, I'm going to go to Aldi/Lidl (can't remember which one it is!) never been before but hopefully I will pick up some bargains! Also need to get petrol, take clothes back and get birthday present!
Be back soon
Bye
