hi fendi, people do read your diary so don't worry and it's not rubbish!
You sound like you have things under control, i know i have lots of savings accounts to move money into but it's mainly stuff for annual bills etc. I don't tend to split my monthly 'left overs' into pots but that's probably cos i don't have much left over
Please don't disheartened, you have reduced your debt since you've been on here and i always think it could have easily have continued rising if you hadn't started taking an interest in it so really any reduction is good.
I might have a look at the cat lady thread as well.0 -
Aw thanks lemon tree!
Just opened letter from Natwest saying I'm getting a £50 bonus at the end of August as I've paid into my regular saver for a year now! (Been taking the money out though as soon as it's gone in so don't actually have any savings in it!) I'd totally forgot about this so that was a nice pleasant suprise!
Just about to head out to the shops now. I promise to be good though and not overspend!!

Guess what?? I got into college!!! :j:j Don't start until next week whereas everyone else started yesterday but thats ok at least I'm in!
Shopping went ok, spent £4.45 on ebay postage, £3.36 on christmas and birthday cards, £5 on card making tools (I really want to get into this!) £5 on stationary for college, £2.32 on food for dinners for the next few days and also £1.50 on a christmas pressie for my friends kids (travel cludeo reduced from £5 in Adsa!). Also gave my dad £100 rent money and £5 for my share of the internet bill. My brothers are going to give me money to get something for my mum and ad for their anniversary so the full budget is now £60, need to get my tinking cap on as I have no idea what to get either them or my friend for her birthday.
Need to get a move on as I'm going to spend the evening putting things on Ebay and applying for a student loan...all very exciting!!!

congratulations on getting into college yay.
also thanks for saying you got the natwest bonus, i've got 2 payments left to make, and like you i've been taking it out eventually. but i had wondered whether they would actually give you the bonus or whether it was a ploy.0 -
Morning :hello:
Direct debit for my loan payment came out today so my total debt figure now stands at just under £17k! (Total figure is £16,933.25). Now aiming to get it under £16K by 1st November.
Sold 2 more items on ebay overnight so will post them later, also need to get some petrol but other than that I don't plan on spending any more money!

I've just posted on the "what dfw things have you done today" thread and thought I would add it here so I can update it throughout the day:
[STRIKE]surveys[/STRIKE] - 10p
[STRIKE]check online banking[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]bingo[/STRIKE] - 20p
withdraw bingo money
package and post ebay items
put items on ebay
sort out the problem I'm having with quidco
quidco no spends
get petrol
taking food from home into work so I don't have any unecssary spends
Decide what to buy for mum and dads anniversary and friends birthday
Sent away my student loan application form last night, hopefully I've done it right and it won't be too long before it's sorted out!

Ebay is sooo boring!! Oh well got 11 items on at the moment, got about another 20 things to put on. Hopefully I'll get it all done today and then that's it done.
Just found £5 in my room so transferred £5 from my everyday account to the overdraft account. I love seeing my total debt coming down, can't wait for the day it's gone completely!!

where did you find the fiver? it may be a good place for me to start searching, to see if i can find one as well0

I found it on my bedroom floor under a huge pile of clothes! Really must tidy up my room and see if I can find anymore!
Managed a NSD yesterday other than the ebay postage (which was £5.86) which will come out my everyday spends budget.
Need to go to Asda either today or tomorrow so I can make meals for my lunches and dinners next week as I'll be at college during the day then going straight to work afterwards. The weather is really miserable here so I think I might just be staying in!!
