  • Thanks Lemon Tree, I still can't seem to transfer it though as it's not asking for the sort code & account number it's going to. It just gives me a list of companies to pay!! Argh!!! I hate Natwest online banking it's sooo confusing!!

Had a rubbish few days, found out I didn't get into univeristy :( so I'm a bit gutted about that. I don't really have a back up plan as I was so sure I would get in. I've been thinking about what to do next and I've realised actually need to take a good look at my life, I've just been plodding on for the last couple of years and nothings really changed. I haven't done anything exciting or different at all. All my friends (except 1) are girls I went to school with (even though some of them aren't very nice and I could really do with getting rid of those ones). I'm single, only ever had 1 boyfriend who I went out with for 3 months about 3 years ago but we have stayed in regular contact (if you know what I mean!!) since and I just can't seem to move on at all. I've had the same rubbish job for 4 years now which I don't enjoy that much but I'm too scared to leave in case I get something worse. I'm overweight but I'm far too lazy to do anything about it and top it all off I'm in debt and always skint!! I know I'm the one who has made my life this way and I'm the only person who can change things so as from today things are going to be different. (Not entirely sure how I'm going to go about this though!!)

Anyway on the moneysaving front, things aren't going to well. I gave my mum and my brother a loan of money this week so my sig is looking a bit rubbish but I should have it all back by the end of next week so things should be a bit better then. I've had a few slip ups over the past few days but I'm going to put that behind me and start a fresh today.

Working this afternoon so I will take lunch in with me and some flavoured water to keep me away from the can machine. Having a quiet evening in tonight so shall try and Ebay a few bits and bobs and also work out where my life is going!!!

Have a nice day everyone sorry for the incredibly long and boring post!!

    xx

ok glad i'm not the only one who got confused with this, above the drop down menu at the end of the first sentance it says add new payee, that's where you need to click so you can pay yourself.

sorry you're feeling down, i read your last post properly this morning and can really relate. Sometimes making a change is the hardest thing, it involves risk and uncertainty and especially with the debt hanging over your head that's not something you want to do
  • Hi stressed.mum and Lemon Tree, I finally managed to get the money transferred what a hassel though!! I'm feeling a bit more positive about things now. Today I'm going to look at all the colleges nearby and decide what course I'm going to do next year. I have decided I'm not going to text 2 of my 'friends' for a while and see how long it takes them to get in contact as I'm fed up always being the one keeps in touch. I got a few things on Ebay over the weekend, 36 actually!! I'm so pleased, almost all of them have at least 1 person watching so hopefully I make quite a bit! Just made a post of the 'what small dfw things have you done today so I'll post it here also so I can update as the day goes on:

[strike]Sort out phone contract, hopefully reduce to £20 a month [/strike] Managed to get down to £15 per month!!
[strike]Write letter to cancel gym membership [/strike] typed up, will print at college
[strike]Write letter to bank to find out how much I've paid in bank charges so I can reclaim [/strike] typed up, will print out at college
    [strike]Onepoll surveys [/strike] only 10p today
Have a look on Quidco and see if I can get any nospend thingys
    Look into scratchcard thingys
[strike]Check online banking[/strike] also made a payment to overdraft and updated sig!!
[strike]Work out budget for next month[/strike] done!!
Go to Asda & spend less than £15
Take dinner to work so I don't spend anything
[strike]Check Ebay to see if I've got any more bids.[/strike] got 2 more watchers!!

Going to college later and then to work but hopefully I'll be able to fit all this in before I go!!

    xx
  • Checked my online banking and made a couple of transfers to my overdraft account and updated my signature. I'm now owing £16,575.88 instead of £18,412.30 which I was owing last month!! I'm really pleased with myself as I've shifted almost 10% of my debt. I'm still trying to ensure my overdraft will be paid by the end of the month so I'll just have the loan, fingers crossed!!

    xx
  • Well done, fendi, that's brilliant! Its great watching your debt decrease in your sig! You're sounding really positive too! Keep up the good work!

Just starting reading your thread. You're doing really well - keep it up!
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get into uni, but it is possible that this is actually an opportunity - try looking around for a job where you can build up a little experience, and you can always apply to go to uni later. This way it gives you a chance to tackle your debts first - I found uni I terrible time financially and I had no debt when I started...
Also, if you work for a couple of years, you'll find that you can reapply as a mature student and often the entry requirements for mature students are quite a bit easier than for younger students.
Anyway, wishing you lots of luck...

Hey, I'm still alive! Move down south and get a job as a bailiff... or fly to eastern europe and run your own brothel... the world is your oyster!
