  • Hi TDQO how are you? My interview was for social work at the university of the west of scotland. I got rejected from all my other choices as I don't have enough experience so this was my last chance really for getting in this year, I'm starting as befriending volunteer on Friday to get some experience then I'll apply again next year.

I received my refund today for £10.76 for taking some clothes back last week so I've paid that straight to the overdraft and that can be my payment a day. Hoping for a NSD today (except for ebay postage, but I'm not going to include that as it's already covered). I will be staying in the rest of the day as I really need to get some studying done.

I received my Natwest card this morning just need to wait on the card reader thingy then I can transfer over the funds to my overdraft. Off to phone t-mobile now and get this phone contract sorted out.

  • Managed a NSD!! :j Been in the house studying all evening so had a very productive day!! Phoned t-mobile to see about my contract but they can't do anything until 14th March so I shall try again then!! Not really done anything else today, just curled up now watching cheaper by the dozen feeling broody & wishing I had their big house!!!

    xx
  • Didn't manage a NSD today but feel extremely proud of myself anyway... went to Boots to buy new make up today, this time last month I wouldn't have thought twice on spending £25 on foundation and £15 on powder but now I'm a DWF I only spent £7 altogether! It doesn't really look any worse than the expensive stuff but I know there's a difference and I did feel a bit minging. Guess I should stop being so shallow!!

I was planning on having a nice relaxing weekend off this weekend but I have ended up signing myself up to do more overtime at work (11 hours) and have written myself a to-do-list for the weekend which is now 2 pages long! Really need to get more stuff on ebay as I only have 2 things on there at the moment and I don't get the same excitement checking them as I did last week when I had 11 on!

    xx

7 quid is pretty damn good from what I've seen of a normal spend on makeup!

Go with the ebay sales, you'll be addicted soon and unstoppable!

Good luck with the "to do" list, I really should do one of them.

I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.
  • I am never going out again!! I wen out on Friday night with a friend and spent £50  I am so annoyed with myself.

Stayed in the rest of the weekend to try and make up for it. I had a NSD Saturday and Sunday as I was working overtime and had lots of studying to do.

Sold another item on Ebay, got nothing on there at all now which I'm a bit sad about but I've got lots of studying to do at the moment. Should be able to do some tomorrow though.

I was hoping for a NSD today but there's nothing in the house to eat at all so will need to get something later.

  • Hi all, got a nice wee day planned. Going shopping today with my mum so she can pick something nice for her birthday and go for lunch. Working this evening but need to try and do some Ebaying in between. I really want to have my overdraft paid off by the end of the month so I best get a move on! Today's plans are:
    • Do onepoll surveys,
    • Check any other survey sites I can join,
    • Ebay 10 items,
    • Go shopping,
    • Try some bingoing,
    • Check Paypal account and if I have more than £50, transfer to overdraft
    • Take dinner to work so I don't spend any money
Have a good day everyone!! xx
  • Didn't manage to get 10 items on Ebay yesterday, just 4. So I'll be trying to aim for 10 day! Got my cardreader thingy from Natwest today so I'm going to transfer the money from that account to my overdraft then reduce the overdraft!! I'm also going to cancel my gym membership today as I really should be studying more instead of going to the gym (I should actually be doing both but don't have the time!) Got my volunteering tonight so it looks as though I'm going to have to take money out of my overdraft as I need to pay for our outing 1st then it gets reimburshed and I think I have abut £2 in my purse!!

Hi fendi bag lady, I used to be exactly the same!

My saviour as well as this site and forum was entering competitions instead of shopping!
If you go on the competitions forum on here there are LOADS that you can enter and nothing beats the feeling of winning something, often things turn up without an email or a letter which is a really nice surprise!
I've won quite a few things.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Thanks Linda, I love winning stuff too! I had a look on the competitions board a few days again but thought it was a bit confusing. Does the E: 13/03 it mean thats the day the competition ends? I didn't really understand so just left it!

Trying to transfer money from my Natwest account but have some problems. I'm trying to transfer it to my Halifax current ac!!!! so is this a transfer or payment, can anyone help?

    Thanks xx
