Free CD-Wow £8.75 voucher loophole

blagger beware...where did I say I didn't qualify..as it happens I go to London regularly as my daughter lives there and I have property there which. I do read time out as my daughter buys it

I do regularly buy from cd wow...but if I don't get this voucher I will quickly become an ex customer....and I hope they go under...I shall tell every body I know that I think they are a poor company because, they made a poor marketing decision and didn,t stand by their marketing...it said every reader of time out...I read my daughter's copy and haven't got my voucher

I think maybe it is fair to say that apart from this fiasco, I have always found cd-wow a cheap reliable company to use........ so I hope they don't go under!

I agree with you, CDWow! is a good company. However, lessons must be learned from this fiasco by all concerned - CDWow!, Time Out and MSE.

One thing I've learned is that good as CDWow may be on price there are cheaper places to buy from.

Both sites check a number of retailers and generally will beat CDWow! on price.

Don't companies usually insure themselves against this kind of thing happening? Remember Hoover and the free flights!!!!!!!!!!

whenever i try to find a cd or dvd i find cdwow rubbish.. my daughter into bratz and they never have them when they released. Ive given up looking at there site now find it a waste of time.

agreed, their prices have crept up somewhat.... indeed, both play, 101cd and amazon are usually cheaper for the stuff i'm looking for

Since cd wow have missed the 10 day voucher deadline I don't think I have seen one of their virtually daily newsletters.

Wonder if they are trying to defuse the situation or perhaps I have been struck off ?

They are having problems with their website. I tried to use some of my vouchers earlier and couldn't complete the transaction so emailed them. They emailed back to say they had a problem and were working on it, and suggested trying again later.

Maybe the same problem is preventing them sending out their newsletters. I haven't had one either.

Just tried the site again (Sunday 5.30 pm) and it is still down.

My response to cd wow and time out today


I think you have a bit of a cheek offering more un-related free vouchers today when you haven't even honoured the Time Out deal, which Time Out have asked you to do, at least in my particular case. cd wow and Time Out will not be getting custom from me and I am sure lots of others unless you sort this shambles out quickly. We are a week overdue already.
