I think you meant 'generic response'.
The message was addressed to me, came from a named individual and answered specific questions I asked when I contacted them. I was also given a telephone number of the writer if I wished to discuss the matter further. I thought it was sensible to remove all this info from the message before posting.

I think this thread has got to the end of any useful purpose and should now be closed. Anyone who got the £8.75 voucher well done, Those that got the 3 x £3 vouchers well done also. Hard luck to everybody else.

totally agree art...
though i only recently came across this thread it has me engrosed..

maybe the fact I studied 'crowd psychology' is why. as it seems to have escalated into many posts , some very indignant wanting what they weren't entitled to, and feeding off others indignance to get even angrier..

can just imagine a massive protest on london streets, swarming their way to cd-wow hq

well...as a response to the people who think this thread should be closed...I have been promised that i will recieve an answer on the 15th. until then i think its fair to have this thread open.....TBH people aren't getting the jist of this thread...that the offer was open to all time out READERS...not buyers of that particular issue....

Well, I live in London and did buy that issue of Time Out but I haven't received anything...............never mind though, I've already got over it!

I only bought the magazine to get the Cd voucher. I need to buy a CD for a birthday present and, as I don't have much money (hardly any at all really), I figured that the cost of the mag vs the saving on the voucher was worth it. Having said that, if I had seen this thread earlier, I would probably have applied without buying the magazine, so I don't begrudge anyone else getting the voucher. Lifes too short!

I don't understand your relaxed ( even if perhaps I envy it just a shade ) approach. If money isn't plentiful and you are a genuine case then you only have to e mail these two organisations and they will honour it I am convinced. Just tell them you still have the mag to prove it. They are only trying to reduce their costs but not at the cost of losing genuine custom.

I suspect that like myself who has not had a yes or no from cd wow yet you will get it anyway, but if not a quick but curtious e mail will do it. I wrote to cd wow and Time Out too (taking about 5 mins), and Time Out have forwarded their response to me onto cd wow too, this confirming it will be forthcoming.

Thanks Roger. I did email CD Wow and got the same email that others got about the delay and haven't heard anything since, so maybe it will turn up. Unfortunately (and stupidly, as it now turns out) the mag has already been recycled - I didn't think I would need it as I had the email from CD Wow to confirm my registration. I will contact Time Out if I don't hear anything soon. Here's hoping!
