  • Noone's debating that, but it's cdwow's stupid fault for allowing it to happen in the first place, and as such they should pay out to everyone and learn for future promotions. If they only expected 20,000 people to sign up, they should have put a limit in place and stated it in the T&Cs. They didn't, so they have no excuse in my opinion.

I take it then that you are a genuine reader of timeout, therefore you should be entitled to your voucher, so why are you getting annoyed, go and get your free CD. Why should Cd wow suffer when they are giving you a free CD, i don't get it.

Why have some people been sent 3 £3 vouchers and others been sent nothing? What about those who claimed to have received a voucher early on, were they serious or just spoofers?
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.

Didn't really understand that post, but I will add that I most definitely am an avid Timeout reader. :money:

Well FWIW I have received both a full £8.75 voucher (on 3rd March after chasing by email), and subsequently a 3*£3 voucher email for not being eligible. If you page back through this thread to the 3rd (or my postings history) you'll see the text of the voucher email I've pasted. You only have my word that I'm not a spoofer, but hopefully my posting history should show that I'm a genuine MSEr.

Both were emailed to the same email address (I only applied once). I suspect the first one was issued by a helpful CS person before it all kicked off.

The second email will probably get issued to all applicants after certain ones were weeded out (i.e. obvious multiple applications, those who didn't subscribe to the newsletter etc.). It's possible they are sending them out in batches in chronological order of applying after weeding, and if you haven't received an email from them yet, you probably will do in the fullness of time.

    HTH - Rufus.

Me too - just found the 3x£3 vouchers in the spam folder..... Have replied to them to find out why it hasn't been honoured. Would prefer to use £8.75 in one go. Martin's call will be interesting....

For those who want to "reward" Time Out for the way they've handled the cd-wow promotion, you can subscribe to the next 13 issues for just 99p!
