Gutted. just e-mail them and state your case. what harm can it do? Has to make more sense than whining on the forum

They might cave and give you a voucher.

    Then again they might not.

I emailed them a couple of times because I'm a subscriber, but got nowhere... CD Wow's made this a very bad PR exercise for themselves.

    Hello

We have verified the information you provided.

To qualify for the Time Out Reader’s voucher offer you had to:

    Purchase Time Out issue 1852 dated 15th – 22nd February 2006

·Register with CD WOW! via the Time Out link as advertised in issue number
    1852

Opt-in to our CD WOW! newsletters

Having tracked and verified your application, unfortunately you do not
    qualify for voucher.

NB - Time Out is a London only entertainment listings guide

    Kind regards

I DID actually buy the magazine, I live on the outskirts of London, work in London, do read timeout & subscribed to the newsletter?!

    I hope they go under.

Are you sick or something? Just because an offer for something FREE got exploited you want a company to go under, thereby everyone who works there loses their jobs!!! I thought this site was interesting but some of the posts, such as this one, just illustrates overt greed and meaness. Think about what you say. And I bet you've got an ok income since you live near and work in London, why cry about a free CD anyway? It's always the rich who are tight with their money (that's how you get rich isn't it?) and whinge when something like this happens. A less well off person would be grateful for the chance, not bitter because it didn't materialise. And you're wishing a business to go bust resulting in job losses. Nice.
  • ps I'm aware zincoxide probably didn't mean it literally... Then again, why doesn't zincoxide let me know that??

    !!!!!!

this was not 'time out's fault..I aplied as genuine reader of time out and only recently discovered it was here on m.s.e (which I am a regular user of)
I haven't emiald them, if I don't get it then who cares?
I will still buy time out as it is a fab mag for londoners, and I so wouldn't take them (rightfully) not honouring thousands of false claims for a frebie to 'readers' as grounds to stop buying it.

just stop all this bickering and complaining..imagine how many work hours you spend reading and posting on this thread..not worth the £8.75 I am sure..

I am very surprised also that 'martin' has become involved in this..I would have thought this could sour his reputation..though maybe he spends more time on t.v than reading through the forum he puts his name to, he hs essentilly encourged som people to breach the t&cs.

this smacks of the anger I feel at reading the 'tesco misprice ' discussion, this site has swiftly descened into a hive for mony grabbing ruthless people that want something for nothing and will complain when they don't get it, no doubt at cost to genuine 'moneysavers' .

    hmph

and don't even mention 'on principle..blahty blah dha'..
if you didn't buy it you don't get it
    simple enough

    LEISURE

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Perhaps people could find better things to do with their time?
