Well it was me that listed the offer in the first case, was amended by martin, but I did buy time out and I havent get any voucher. I ownly signed up for it once and no more, CD wow left them selfs open for this kind of thing to happen if they had set a limit or put a one per person voucher.
  • seems as if Roger B has explained it, he thinks cd wow are going through a list of people who applied, and will not send out the voucher to people who aren't entitles. Good, there will be more chance of me getting a genuine voucher. Who would have thought a genuine reader getting a genuine voucher.

Errrrm..If you'd have read the T&Cs (like you should)- You'd have found out the following:

Open to genuine timeout readers only.

    One voucher per HOUSEHOLD.

CDWOW reserve the right to deny any voucher application if they see fit.

To be honest - I think you're less entitled to this offer than anyone seeing as you posted this thread.
  • Hi blagger

If you are a genuine customer i'm sure you'll get your voucher fair and square. I think i've figured out whats going on as my voucher just arrived. All i had to do was scan a receipt showing i bought timeout magazine. Badabing, voucher arrived ten minutes later

Kaiser Chiefs here I come (na na na na naa)

But what if you've bought the magazine and long since recycled it, along with the receipt, assuming you got one?
    genuine timeout reader.

Hi i read timeout as i occasionally work in london. Signed up for the voucher thing with play or cd wow or someone, and then i see there a bunch of blagger and chavs signing up for this. Ok fairplay, free cd's, until you relise that no company is going to give out an endless source of vouchers, which means genuine readers of this magazine such as myself are going to lose out, to tight fisted morons that seem to use this site, and feel that they should be entitled to free stuff even when they aren't. It's greed, nothing more.

If you have such a low opinion of the people who use this site Blagger, why on earth are you posting yourself?
  • I believe stating that the offer was only open to TimeOut readers was setting a limit (also one per household). And you posting it on this site has directly led to you and other genuine TimeOut readers not yet receiving their vouchers. You may rant about it being CDWOW's fault any maybe they were a bit naive for not anticipating thousands of non-qualifying greedy forum blaggers trying to take advantage of an offer that was not aimed at them. But it seems the result of heyho's enthusiasm to share this offer with the readers of this site has ruined it for the genuine applicants.

I think that is a bit harsh - if no-one posted details of offers for fear of invalidating their claim to the offer this section of the forum would not be very interesting to a lot of the members.

I am sure the op did not expect so many people to go over board with the offer.
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!

I am posting, as it is free to sign up on this site, and i don't like people, who take advantage of companies good nature at the expense of others.

I am not saying that everyone on this site is chav/blagger but, i am saying those of you who signed up to this offer without actually having read/bought the magazine are scum, who think that they are entitled to every offer regardless of who might miss out on the opportunity.

Now if you read Timeout and signed up as a genuine reader, or if you just went out and bought the magazine for this offer, then i don't think there is a problem, as you are genuinely entitled to the offer.
  • the use of the word scum, is perhaps a bit harsh, but i think it goes a small way to showing how annoyed this and similar matters make me!
