How are you today? I got soaked through when I took the dog for a walk this morning. It's sunshine and shower weather up here today.
Off out of the office just now to do a Food Safety talk at a local school, should be interesting!

Morning peeps
as the mornings get lighter i seem to be getting on here later and later, i can`t wait to get outside and do bits and bobs to the garden.
Usual morning chores out of the way and houndies walked, i`m of to go buy a huge sack of dogfood in a minute but thought i`d have ten mins on here first to catch up.
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Thrift :bdaycake:

Went and bought material for 2 pairs of curtains and 12mtrs of blackout lining, the lining was £5.95 a mtre, is that expensive? seemed so to me.
Sounds about right, it's dreadfully expensive though; last time I lined curtains the lining was more expensive than the curtain fabric! I find it difficult to stitch through too.
I can't work out what makes it so good at excluding light though.Noticed quite a few regulers missing, has something happened?
MEANMARIE, MORWENNA, JACKI O, SMOKY (((((((((HUGS))))))))))).
Haven't seen whatatwit for ages eitherHope you are all well
I've never seen chorebuster.net, but we did have a chorewars thing going on for a while ages ago and that was fun, especially when you found golden scouring pads and sink monsters :rotfl:
ravylesley; hope you all get better soon ((hugs))
WS; glad little bear enjoyed his movement class, sounds like great fun:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
OH BARGAINBIRD, yes it was you, wow a little boy, what did you call him? what was the weight? how did it all go, well I hope.
CELYN90, I've never used blackout lining before, do I sew it like ordinary lining? I think it's the rubber stuff that keeps the light out.
Oh yer Whatatwit, hope she's ok and all others AWOL.0 -
Hello everybody,
Was up bright and early this morning to do the floors while it was a bit cooler. Washed. Cut up 5 large capsicums for the freezer. Lady across the road was suppose to cut Benny today but she forgot. She's going to do him one day next week now. Shame, as he really needs it. I picked up DGS before lunch. His father picked him up after tea as they are heading off early for a few days break. I'm a free woman.
Made some pesto this arv from our basil. I used my new mortar & pestle that DS2 bought for me. I've also been downloading photo's. What a boring job. I've been playing games while I wait.
Thriftlady Happy Anniversary and enjoy your dinner.
Well I'm off to bed. DH is already snoring. Hope you have a lovely day & <hugs> to those not well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone, its really misty here now and looks like rain!! I walked the boys to the bus and gave the dog a walk it looked lovely then! Anyway will have to bring washing back in. BM on and smelling lovely took a tip about putting the t towel over when it comes out of the oven definitely makes for a softer loaf. Today Im going to go through the direct debits and see if I can get some cheaper ins quotes to save some more cents. Not sure about tea tonight as it is the start of lent maybe corn on the cob from the freezer or egg n chips yummy.
Thriftlady and Mr Thriftlady have a lovely day sounds like a nice way to spend the day

Welcome to all the newbies & (((hugs))) to those in need.
Not got round to posting much lately as other people keep stealing my valuable time!!!
Have still managed to bob along on the OS front and still making inroads into the food mountain, especially the baking supplies! Need to get back on the Wii Fit to burn off the results!
I've made all our own bread for a couple of weeks now - congrats to Yorkshire Celt on the bargain Panny!! I wouldn't be without mine.
It's been a year on Friday since my Dad died so I'm keeping Mum occupied this week in between work and everything else. She's just finished a course of radiotherapy on a facial skin cancer so she's had a rough year.
Off out with Mum this afternoon so hoping to pick up a Y/S surprise for tea. If not there's still plenty in the freezer and the pantry!

Hello to Yorkshire Celt :hello:
Pennypincher
I hope you are feeling a bit better today but don't overdo things.
DD has been driving me crazy about what to give her as a packed lunch. She can tell me what she does not like- sandwiches, rolls etc but not what she does!!!!!!
Snowy
Good luck at work- it sounds "interesting".
Washing is on the line and I should be hanging out a second load but it looks very overcast.
Trying to think of something for an evening meal that DD will not turn her nose up at and might make a huge lasagne using the turkey mince that is in the fridge, stretching it out with carrots and mushrooms. She had tea at a friend's house and did not have home made pancakes so might offer to make some as a dessert.
Hugs to everybody and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning all....seems quite odd legitimately posting in the morning (am on hols from work
) rather than sneaking on at lunchtime!
Washing up done, WM on, towels in TD, am aiming to Dyson & mop the wooden floors, clean bathroom & tackle ironing heap today/tonight - OH is away until tomorrow night, so will tackle the heaps in the bottom of my wardrobes tomorrow
Am looking for some help now - OH will be starting 6months of work in Cardiff next month (next week ) and I am frantically trying to find somewhere to rent for that time......1/2 beds, parking, furnished, somewhere "nice" on the M48 side of Cardiff......can anyone recommend / advise against any areas or letting agents? Huge THANK YOU to all!
Floss x
P.S. Just to confirm what D&DD said - David Cameron's son has died overnight, taken ill yesterday & died in hospital. Very sad. Sympathy message from Gordon & Sarah Brown who lost their daughter saying "loss of a child is something no parent should bear".2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
