RAS, many thanks for the comments Electric We already try to turn off everything not in use. Are currently looking at the cost of both contents and buildin insurance. Mobile phones, OH & I have one each and eldest 2 also have contract phones (we have found them cheaper than PAYG)
Diesel OH is mobile throught a large part of the N West and puts about 250.00 pm in his, the rest is mine. His tax, insurance and servicing are included in the lease so only mine are shown
Child care is for the 2 youngest to be looked after before and after school and the three youngest full time in the hols. Other child related expenses are 17.00 per week for 2 of them to have school dinners, then subs for Cubs, Guides, Rangers and for 3 of them to play hockey. Life is full life coverand yes we do take holidays, usually paid for out of child benefit. Will look for aprs, limits etc and post back.0 -
I'm sorry I can't offer you any advice, but just want to wish you all the best sorting this out.

Do you have any joint bank accounts?
Or separate ones?
First thing for you to do is to pay off that barclay card and then see if you can get a balance transfer at 6.9%?
is the Cap 1 debt at 14.88 % per annum or 1.488% per monthIf you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi, just wanted to add my support.
Does your OH know yet that you have been through his mail, or are you still trying to do things 'on the quiet'? While this may seem like a safe way to go, if and when he finds out his reaction could go either way.
Please be careful. Take care of yourself and the kids first.0 -
Forris, no he doesnt know I have been thru his stuff, but having been asking for this info since last Sept. felt justified in doing it. At least I know where I stand now and I am trying to be careful.0

Just popped by to give you a hug - can't imagine the stress you're under. I have an ex who had debts (from gambling, alcohol and drugs) although his was a fairly low amount. I'd be very reluctant about helping him too much.
Have you checked your credit file recently?Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi added questions to previous post.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
