    Who, moi? :)

I would also like to ask the E-on reps, why am I not allowed a discount for managing my account online? I am only allowed the 6% direct debit discount.

E.ON don't give a discount to customers who manage accounts online.

There are tariffs available that offer further discounts, these tariffs are available under certain criteria.

I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

35% in my region (compared to Npower and their silly discount scheme which means you wouldnt see £21 of the saving until the end of 12 months plus the added "benefit" of being with possibly one of the worst suppliers in the market) but thats irrelevant until the OP posts his actual Kwh (likely to be far more that 1095 if he is electric only) as you obviously only posted that figure to be argumentative.

I'm not going to quote my actual usage figures as it is rather complicated, and besides, most of the electricity I use is on the Heatwise tariff.

I think people should be more courteous to the Eon reps when they discuss things with them instead of launching an attack on them. They are not the ones that make up the rules and regulations.

I am with Eon and if I don`t like how much I am being charged then I would just leave and find another supplier.

For the one with heatwise, I realise that your choices are limited as you are in rented accommodation. I would have a word with your landlord to see if you could change the meter to the economy 7. Nothing will be done to your internal wiring so I don`t see it as a problem. You won`t get 10 hours of heat/hot water but just 7. You would need to decide if you would be warm enough with the reduced hours that your storage heater charges for.
thank you i cant type very fast you beat me to it LOL its the same as the banks etc people on the ground are taking all the flack, it is totally unjust , its not their fault they are only doing the job they have been told to do by people above them who sit in their ivory towers.

Yes. I would agree whole-heartedly with you. The E-on reps are on here presumably also have to pay huge energy bills and aren't particularly well paid.

They probably hate the way their companies are abusing their positions as much as anyone, only they are not at liberty to say so (at least on here anyway).

Hi, Personal experience speaking here and if you are in tenanted property the landlord would the have final say on you changing the metering (even if it benefits you!) and to come of heatwise ( i have a similar system north of the border ) would involve rewiring which the landlord would have to meet and we all know they dont like spending money

That's worrying. Are you suggesting that this clause:

"Discounts 9.5% discount until at least 1 June 2010 - for managing your electricity and gas account online"

from the EOS12 plan will be misinterpreted by E-on to mean not what their customers think it means?

I capped my grans account at her request and so I can keep an eye on things I have selected to manage my grans account on line. For that she doesn`t get a discount. If you sign up for one of the online tariffs you do get a discount.

The total discount for the EnergyOnline prices is a result of meeting the three criteria required of having, duel fuel, paying by Monthly Direct Debit and managing the account online.

Managing accounts online whilst not on an online tariff will not give further discounts.

To EON Rep. Lack of tariffs on your web site AGAIN
My first post to you was because I was frustrated in trying to assist one of your elderly customers who won't cope with the stress of switching, by checking that she was on your best tariff for her use - But now your Keep-all-the-prices-secret policy is affecting my family.
My son has just moved into a rented flat with EON supplied E7 power through a Radio Telemeter that has your name on it. My call to your 0845 300 4385 was virtually a waste of time - their comment that only my son personally could register as a customer was fair enough - but that they couldn't give or send instructions for the customer to interrogate the meter because they did not know how, was beyond belief. They could tell me that the meter is on your 'Standard Economy 7' tariff ,but not the price structure or terms of the tariff.
To give any price information at all, your web site requires that an annual spend is entered, so just how do the hundreds of people moving into an EON supplied dwelling check the price of thier power and useage/cost, before they get the first bill?
This problem doesn't seem to fall within the remit of any of the customer complaint agencies, so I'll be writing directly to Ofgem
