1.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, and then click Next.
4.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.
This won't be easy from across the road, all you uninstalled was incredimail yes? The above is reversible.
just thought l did uninstall mcafee earlier yesterday as advised but that was long b4 l started on incredimai and everything was still finel:EasterBun GRAB EVERY OPPERTUNITY YOU GET ..YOU DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOUR HERE FOR0 -
Ideally to just before you tried to remove incredimail. Everything else you have done was beneficial. Depends how many Sys Restore points have been created, it will show you the options as dates. As RIK said, this is reversible.
Think of it like a TARDIS for PC's.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I think 'system rebuild' might be better. Can't someone go round and do a reinstall for her? We're up to post 100 and it might be quicker that way...I've got holidays booked for May...
On a serious note, can someone advise what incredimail is and what it has done to Explorer?
Does Mrs Thickett maybe already have another web browser already installed (one that she doesn't use)?
With all this carp on it I bet you Sys Restore is disabled.
dont think l do have another web browser lve only ever used google but will check on all progs to see, mind you if l have and didnt realise it would it show on the log l posted of whats on my comp:EasterBun GRAB EVERY OPPERTUNITY YOU GET ..YOU DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOUR HERE FOR0 -

Google is not a web browser (well unless it is called Chrome), it's a web search site.
What you are looking for is a web browser called Firefox, it is made by a company called Mozilla.
Most likely if you have it it will be on an icon on your desktop.
PS: I'm with you on plan B, anyone else agree? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Incredimail is a 'fun' email programme with fancy fonts backgrounds and emoticons.
I used to use it but grew out of it, it is difficult to remove all traces.

the only reason l dowloaded it in the first place was that someone at work used the emoticons on their emails to us
thought it was a good idea at the time :EasterBun GRAB EVERY OPPERTUNITY YOU GET ..YOU DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOUR HERE FOR0
