Hi guys, I haven't had the chance to read the whole thread yet so I might be asking a question already answered but I have some French language books to sell. If I list them on Amazon UK do any of you know if they will also appear on the French site, or do I need to list them seperately? My account based in the UK is good to buy books from the French site, which has got me thinking.

    Thanks! :)

You can select where you will ship to.
    Domestic only = UK
Domestic + Europe will show the listing on the European Mainland Amazon sites as well. You might want to put something in your description "Ships from the UK" so there are no complaints over perceived postal delays.

Just remember that the Europaean posting credit is not high, so build in the shortfall to your start price if the books are over 400g. (I think it was 400g that people said was covered for Europe)

Good point. One of the book is normal, the other is fairly hefty, but they are both in French so I'm not sure of my chances of selling them here. I will put them up on both sites and see who comes knocking first, but the heavier of the two books cost me quite a lot and I no longer need it so I could do with getting rid of it TBH.

Thanks a lot for the info - I appreciate it! :T

Muchas gracias! That's really nice to know. I guess it's a smaller market this side of the Channel, so it could be good. :D

Have just sold a VHS video to USA for £30, so a nice little sum, however do our videos work over there? Don't want to pay for the postage if it isn't going to work. Or should I just presume she knows what she is buying and send it?
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Did you specifically state VHS or PAL etc.? It could be a Brit who moved over and has a tape player from over here. Enquire if you like, but they might know already.

Definately ask because some people are daft enough to bid on something they cannot use. It might save you a wasted trip to the PO :)

Good sale but I agree re checking with buyer - from what I read on the seller connection board, this is an issue that causes lots of problems. Many don't even realise there are different systems
