I have a hard back copy of Percy Thrower's Encyclopedia of gardening. I've looked on Amazon and there are 40 odd copies at 1p. They have a publishing date of 1970, how do I know when mine was published? Just inside the first couple of pages you have the "published for blah blah blah" bit, in this it tells me that it was first published in 1962 and seventh impression 1968. Could mine be an earlier publication to what they are selling on Amazon?
Gardening books, unless very rare are difficult to make money on. I can't imagine there is any profit on a 1p book like that.
It might be a candidate for the charity shop I'm afraid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin, I was thinking that as well.Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0

I also sell books on Ebay and some popular books on https://www.greenmetropolis. I closed down my Play trade selling account though as I had real problems with emails and notifications and didn't need the hassle.
I also used to list on ebid, but never sold anything.
I've been selling on greenmetropolis for a while and buy books from there. I have a playtrade account and I have to keep checking in since I discovered they weren't telling me I had sold stuff.
I also sell books on eBay swap books with the forum members on eBid:rolleyes:January 1st 2013 starting weight 123 kg

Unfortunately you do need a card to sell on Amazon, sometimes they will not even accept a debit card, just a credit card. You might want to give Greenmetropolis a look as I don't think they need a card, just a bank account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi everyone, I am quite new to Amazon sales ( retired Ebay seller). With the new thing they hasve introduced about selling toys before Chistmas, I need 5 things to sell to qualify. So was wondering if I could get any tips form you peeps. Something which is in demand and can sell quick, I have tones of rubbbish around my house, and I can sell cheap,so fire away with ideas, please.0

Ideally you would need to be looking for new stock if you want to sell toys as the chances of older things being in the data base are a bit remote.
If you mean you just need to sell 5 things to get toy selling permission then just hit the books or CDs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
