I've always had my seller account linked to my normal bank card/account....never registered a credit card.0 -

Is there a way to bulk print amazon packing slips and to mark items as dispatched?
It's a nightmare as it is.
Not that I'm aware of but you may get an answer if you ask over on the Amazon seller connection forum. Presume you are not selling books? You might get more of a response over there if you say what type of item ie electrical, home and garden etc etc. I think there may be software available for doing things like integrated printing of labels and dispatch emails but I'm only a small seller so don't need that kind of thing. There are larger sellers over there who may be able to advise.0 -
Hi
I am new to Amazon selling. My question is I have a copy of this book
here . I bought it for £13 recently and wasn't that impressed. I'm wondering if I can sell it on Amazon for a lot of profit? I have no idea why other people are selling it for such a ridiculous price. Should I wait to build up good feedback with lesser items?0 -
I'd certainly give it a try, the sales ranking shows that at least one has sold recently.
The other sellers are known a bit for their overpricing, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to try it at a good price and maybe keep an eye on it over the weeks and adjust your price later if it doesn't sell.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Bookfinder shows a few cheaper copies in Europe, but listed on Amazon UK it will probably pick up a UK buyer.

thank you soolin. I had a look on bookfinder too. There are cheaper copies if people want to risk European delivery with no picture of the book cover. I think the last copy sold for around £50 as the price on amazon used to be £50 upwards - I know because I was desperate to get a copy! as you can tell I was disappointed.0

I recently signed up to sell on Amazon, as I had something I wanted rid off as it was taking up too much room in my tiny flat. Anyhow -
The item did sell, but I received no notification about this in my email inbox, good job I thought to go onto Amazon to check!
That kinda puts me off selling in future as I'd have to be checking throughout the day, otherwise finding I have to do a mad dash to arrange a courier or run full pelt to the PO before it closes!
The item I sold, sold for £230 + Amazon gave me a generous £1.95 or something towards postage, it actually cost me £8.10 to send as it weighed 24kg, am I right in thinking I should add postage charges onto the price I'm selling it for? After amazon's fees and the extra P&P, I have about £185. I feel quite miffed that Amazon took about £40 in fees! Has ebay got lower fees? But the upside to that is ebay seems a minefield of people chancing their luck constantly.
Anyhow, is there a way to so you ALWAYS get notification of someone buying something? Also anyway to lower the huge fees? It seems quite a lot!0 -
Sorry if this queiry has been asked before.
I sold a book to a customer for £20. The book actually cost slightly more to post (£1.50 extra) than the amount amazon gave. The customer has emailed to say she thought it was a different book and can she return it. She said she will incur any postage /costs.
When I do a refund:
1. do I lose the listing fees as I'll be refunding the total amount the buyer paid minus postage.
2. Can I then refund minus the extra postagae I've paid and minus the fees?
Thanks, I'm just a bit confused about the refund thing!!:o£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
Hi Buttonmoons, there is a way to set up instant email notifications on Amazon. Go to your seller account page, go to 'settings', click on 'notification preferences', then you should be able to chose a setting called 'sold dispatch now emails'. However, I have just checked this out and it is not there as an option - I do get these emails and it does help to know when you have sold something. It might be worth you checking with Amazon and see if they can set this up for you, I'm not sure why I can't see the option. Their help pages say it should be there.

For future sales, you should always price your item to give you sufficient after Amazon fees etc to give you the price you want including any postage. Amazon set the postage and you can't change that, so you have to include any extra postage within your price. The last page before you click to confirm you want to list tells you how much money Amazon will credit you with.

Hello Butterfly, you can do a partial refund of whatever amount you choose and any associated fees will be credited to your account automatically - you do not have listing fees on Amazon so won't lose out there.
