Hi Keys, not sure if I can help. Is it a 'credit' card rather than a 'debit' card - I think there was something about you had to register a credit card in order to sell.

Looking at the info I have to submit if I want to add a card it is:

Credit card type - drop down box
Credit card number - the long one on the front of your card
Cardholder's name - as shown on the front of your card
Issue no/start date - depends if you have a switch/solo card then you input the issue no, otherwise you use the start date
Expiration date - use drop down

You do have to add the address details that correspond to the registered address for the card.

And that's it, otherwise I'm sorry but I can't help - perhaps you could request for them to phone you in the morning.

Good luck - hope you get sorted

    FFM :)

    Hi Helsbells

I recently had the same problem as you. I'm a small seller selling my own stuff and received an unfair neutral feedback. I contacted the buyer without any response so just left a factual reply to his feedback. I've sold a couple more items since and have had glowing feedback so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think sales are slow for everyone at the moment.

Thanks so much for support it is very much appreciated:D
I think you are right, I have actually sold only two since and as you say this seems to reflect the general state of play. Thanks again:T

I just received a very odd email from Amazon for one of the pending orders, with the subject line "Your Amazon Listing - Do Not Dispatch" . The email says, 'A buyer has attempted to buy the item or items listed below, but the buyer's payment has been delayed. Please continue to reserve this item for the buyer, but do not dispatch it until you receive confirmation from Amazon that your payment is secured, either through the "Sold, dispatch now" e-mail or by checking that your seller account shows the order status as "Payment complete".'

The thing is, the "pending" order does not show the name or delivery address anyway :) (But I hope it gets resolved soon; the order is over a week old.)

I'm still slowly listing my books, and despite the painfully slow process (listing, waiting, printing, packaging, trudging to the post office), I am starting to find the whole thing strangely soothing & addictive :D

    Hi Velogal,

some sellers on the Amazon forum have mentioned receiving the same email today - its one Amazon used to send out to inform sellers of a pending sale - it used to contain the buyers email so it was possible to contact them to bring the prob to their attention. It seems to be yet another Amazon twitch that they have started sending pending emails again with useless advice  they are very good at that but you just have to wait for the pending to convert or cancel as there is nothing sellers can do to speed the process these days. My last pending took 9 days to convert  though to be honest even a pending would be something - not had a sale for over a week and you are right - it IS addictive and I miss my fix of SDN emails :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Can you explain a bit more about what you mean by 'it won't let me' list it - is there no exisitng listing there already or are you getting a message saying you can't list it? Is it a book club or supermarket published book? If you give some more details someone will be able to help.
I tried to sell it by searching the ISBN and a message comes up saying that amazon are not currently listing this book for sale .Please try another item:confused:
If you dont ask you dont get!!

    Hi Jaygrunt

in that case it just means there is no existing listing for that ISBN, if you are a pro merchant seller then you can create a listing for it? If not, you could try searching by title and author to see if it is listed already. You may have a book club edition or publisher like WHS or M&S where books tend not be listed on the database. If you do find a listing via non ISBN search and decide to list there be very careful how you describe the book and make sure you include how it is different. Sadly, even if you do this you risk bad feedback as buyers don't read descriptions and can claim your book differs from the listing and you can also have probs from Amazon for that. TBH I'm not sure Royal stuff sells very well - others may have a different experience. You could bung it on ebay and see what happens? Good luck

I use jiffy style padded envelopes which I buy in bulk and which cost me between 8-10p each. A standard DVD sent second class will cost 76p, 1st class is 90p. Therefore you are looking at around 86p to factor into your profit and loss assuming you send second class. Just make sure that is covered when you sell on Amazon and Play as they give you an inclusive amount that includes postage.

The ones I have on my desk at the moment as I am packing books say 'mail lite Gold D/1'.

That is a good size for a DVD as it isn't a squash and it has the advantage of being big enough for a standard paperback as well so I just need the one pile of envelopes and I can work through a batch to pack quickly and easily.

    Anyone,

Is there a way to bulk print amazon packing slips and to mark items as dispatched?

It's a nightmare as it is.
