Good one hun, he should be here at some point, and I will keep an eye on your post as well now and then in case it needs bumping up for him, I understand you want to know as soon as possible.;) XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di,
Turbo has replied to me this morning advising that I should keep the Bank Charges Claim separate from the PPI Claim--totally different arguments and different departments at the bank.
But when I think about it, the payments WERE made late, so they are legitimate charges. I'm not that bothered about them I suppose, so looks like I should be able to make a claim for £350.47.
Hope you don't mind me asking, but what should I do next, is there a specific letter to be sent etc.
I just want to make sure I'm sending the right letters so as not to send wrong ones then have to resbmit the correct ones.... if you see what I mean lol - so as to try and speed the process up.
Thanks0 -

Hi hun
Oops I thought it was late payments on the loan, sorry, but yes keep them separate is the best then. Sorry for my confusion here hun.....:o .
For the charges side of things there is a reclaim charges thread above and to reclaim on the PPI you do not actually need the amount to be stated on the letter at this stage, as they must aim to put you back in the position as if you did not have ppi from the start, where they should refund you if successful what you paid plus interest etc.
However, here is a thread here to help you with your letter of PPI reclaiming:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
There are reclaim letters in stages, so for instance if you were not successful the first time, you should get the opportunity to write back to them with more information with help from the reclaim letters.
They have 8 weeks to respond and keep at them until you receive the "final response", this letter they should let you know how this can be looked at further, for example the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) etc.
It is handy to have the figures so you can check these upon offers.;)
There is help on the above thread in regards of reclaiming charges, I'm sure you will receive some help and good advice on that particular thread for this matter.
Post all letters by recorded delivery, good luck and post up for more help anytime.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di,
Have had a look at stuff you mentioned and have posted a link to a letter fgor reclaiming charges in it, just checking it's the right letter to be used for reclaiming the late charges.
Which letter should I use for reclaiming the PPI though, as both you and Turbo had mentioned that these would be two separate claims.
Thanks0 -

Hi hun
Sorry I forgot to post the link to you in regards of reclaiming ppi, here is a link here hun, if you check through this link it gives useful info and there are template letters in stages, so letter 1 and letter 2 if not successful first time round:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You should find the ppi templates on there, you do not have to add an amount at this time.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Sorry... me again lol.
I'm just not sure what reason to put, as I seem to have agreed to taking the PPI over the phone back in July 2001, but I very much doubt that's what I was phoning them up for in the first place.
Do I just send the letter to the same address as the last one?
Thanks0 -

Not a problem....:D.
If any of those reasons on the link added above apply to you then add them in, maybe being young and vulnerable did not help, myself I used to think it was all part of the loan and signed up anyway, its only recent years that I have learnt of this being optional on the ppi.
I will get back with an address in a min, this now if loan ppi isn't it?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Since the late charges and the PPI both are on the same credit card, should I do two letters but send them both to the same address?0
