Lloyds TSB Credit Card PPI
Comments

Hi all
Newbie here, so apologies in advance!
Some advice please...
I have a current credit card from about 2003/4 with MBNA, which I am going to try to reclaim the PPI from.
However, I have had three credit cards which dated back many years; two with Lloyds TSB and one with Northern Rock, all (as far as I am aware) with PPI.
In 2006 I fully paid off ALL three cards. Is it possible to still claim PPI on these cards' accounts?
Many thanks

Hi and Welcome,
You try hun, if you don't try you will never know.:D
So you were mis sold the PPI i take it then?
Do you still have the agreements for these by any chance?
If not write to them to request these, enclose a £1 cheque or postal order payment to cover the cost of these, they should supply these to you by 12 days of request.
You should have no problem in receiving agreements going back as far as 6 years, but if its longer than that, try anyway.
If you require any help, please just yell, we will try to help all we can.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi,
In the post today I've received copies of my statements back to 27th March 2003 right through to January 2009 and am going to create a spreadsheet listing the Statement Date and the Amount of Cardholder Protection Plan I was charged.
Can I just check something though, what about Late Charges?
I've checked the previous months statement to check the last date for payment and on the following months statement it shows as the payment being received after the last date for payemtn so do I just have to put that down to being fair lol.
Thanks0 -

Good one hun, was this through an SAR request, or did they just send them to you without the SAR request?
I am not too certain if there maybe spreadsheets for this type of thing on the site, but I think if you google this in google maybe you could create one, or maybe on wiki.;)
In regards of late charges, I would see what others say on this matter to give their views on this hun. But I would put everything down just to be on the safe side.
Good luck hunni and shout back for more help when needed.:A XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Di3004,
I sent the following letter on 23rd February:
I am writing to request a fully comprehensive list of all the insurance/payment protection charges added to my account with Lloyds TSB . If you are unable to provide this data, I will accept copies of my statements. I understand that statements on their own are not covered by the Data Protection Act, yet I’m not requesting the statements per se, but the charges, which I’m entitled to.
I look forward to your response within 40 days, as is obliged under the Data Protection Act 1998. If not I shall seek remedy from the Information Commissioner.
I enclosed a cheque for £1, which I notice was cleared yesterday from my bank account, so had an idea something was being done, received the copies of statements in the post today.
I've made a spreadsheet and have included the late payments, but have marked them as bold on the spreadsheet to distinguish them from the proper payment protection charges.
There are 5 late charges at £20 each in the whole of the period from March 2003 up to present day.
In total, including the late charges, I've paid £450.47, but even without the £100 of late charges, that's still £350.47. I'm going to get mum to help me though and double check my figures lol.
Does anyone know for sure about the late charges?
What should I do next Di?
Thanks again for all the help x0 -

Hi hun
In regards to your calculations, I think it would be best if maybe Turbo who posts on the above reclaiming discussion thread will take a look at them for you and also advise in what to do about the late charges, as I do not normally deal with figures myself......I am pretty useless at maths lol
to be honest, and Turbo should be able to confirm in what to do about the late charges as well.
If he is not here tonight, he is sure to be here at some point tomorrow.
As I have not actually dealt with late charges side of things I am unable to give a proper answer in this actual matter, but I know Turbo will be able to work these out for you and some info on the late charges.
For the easiest copy and paste your above post and ask Turbo on the above stated thread, tell him that di3004 suggested him if you want to.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
