I believe the op, Seriously it happened to me but with fraudlent transactions, I am not going to "dispute" it, i am going to shop elsewhere!

    Ebay will do! :rotfl:for now.....

But amazon isn't the only shop online, so they can stick my account where the sun dont shine.

I dont mind either they closed it after i sold around 10 things on amazon market place, They "instantly" sent the payment to my account before thinking, the next day my account "was closed" and any other ones too, But my other one wasn't. So i have no idea how to refund the people, so will just give the money to oxfam. After all amazon can pay them back! :rotfl:

But it is great having your emails ignored by amazon, oh and your phone calls and letters.

The phone calls are the best :D Give your account information then the phone goes dead, i think something must be wrong in india.

Sorry but it sounds like you are one seller that I would be pleased not to ever ever come across, can't even be bothered to work out simply how to refund your buyers or simply ship their goods, are you for real  Those poor buyers have to wait several days before they can start an A-Z claim because you can't click on a link in your Amazon account and refund them..no, surely this is a wind up.

Incidentally, you are only allowed one Amazon account, if they notice you have two then all are shut down.

You are not in the position i am in at the moment, I can not log into that account AT ALL meaning i can not even issue a refund, I have contacted amazon. But they have totally ignored me. So how i am ment to refund them/send the goods? If i have no information AT ALL?

I have done my bit to try and get the orders etc out but it was amazon who wont let me do it. If it was up to me, i would of refunded them. But once again i must say i can not access the account, and when i try to get it solved amazon are ignoring me. So there is no way i can change it? Is there?

They have already closed all my accounts :D I got a similar email to the OP, but in my case i was trying to get it sorted, see the thread i started about it ages ago :D

Oh mighty SOOLIN tell me what to do? Seeing as your so helpful on MSE, judging people before knowing there sitauation, You REALLY think i am going to walk away with the money? It is now with comic relief!

just a thought for the op,
i have worked for a couple of mail order companys and it can be to do with your address - if someone else is ordering and then saying stuff never arrived in order to get two ETC.
all theese are usually logged with customer and postcode details so problem areas can be spotted.- i have seen it cause huge problems with blocks of flats and even people with student houses nextdoor (anywhere with more than usual people registered in the same location) as it only takes one person being very naughty to red flag the postcode sometimes!

    just a thought. x

If they dont want returns then they should not be in business or at least declare this, funny how Catalogue companies take returns all the time with no problem, and the drivers even pick the goods up for you so they are doing all the leg work.

Does anyone know if their is a policy for how many returns you can make?

Catalogues take returns as they offer credit, so its like sale or return - Amazon operate completely differently as you pay for items straight away.

Returns can also take many forms, ie item not liked, item suddenly seen cheaper elsewhere, item used for x months then returned as faulty etc. If its costing the company money to despatch the item (as postage is mainly free on Amazon) then have to pay more money out to get the item back plus the card handling fees then obviously it makes sense to no longer sell to that person.

I really like Amazon. It provides an excellent service. If you don't happen to live in a city with access to many shops then it provides a valuable service in providing consumer choice. The way High Streets have gone with all the same boring shops Amazon is a lifesaver. The only place to buy CDs now in my local town is Tesco which is seriously rubbish.

I'd like to hear from someone with a perfect Amazon purchase record who got banned. Then I'd start to want to know more. Until then they are obviously just protecting their business interests. I'd rather see a few people banned than have the prices put up for all of us to cover the misdeeds of a few.

In any case, whatever the company decides, there is a way to deal with customers that is acceptable, and then there is a way which is not.

When you talk to India and they tell you "No, your account is NOT closed" 20 times, but you can not log in, you get annoyed. They also say "someone will call you within 24 hours". But guess what? Nobody ever returned any of my calls.

When you tell Amazon - "I want to tell you something about your service" - they say "We do not want feedback".

When they do close customers' accounts, they DO NOT inform you about:

-what to do with your pending and paid for orders that have NOT been delivered
-how to obtain your purchase history
-what happens with the gift certificates applied to the customer's account

Also, when you call their customer support and ask them to provide you with all information they have about you under the Data Protection Act, section 7, they say "We do not have any information on you". (Slightly illegal and in breach of the act, may I add).

    I agree.

The OP says he only returned 5 items but never gave the reason as to why they were returned, if they were used or simply change of mind re the order.

We dont get to hear Amazons side of the story but something must have led them to take this action.

Yes there's always two sides to every story.

Presumably these banned people have friends and family so they could order through their accounts if they were desperate to have something.
