Evening All,
A STS for me this week - it's TOTM (3 days early too), so I'm not surprised.
Thanks for the thoughts about my munchies due to my cold. I think you're right, plus I'd not taken into account TOTM, which always makes me crave carbs. I'm trying to keep things controlled, and know that I'll soon be back on track and won't feel like this always. It's a good test, as I am going to get periods like this in the future, even when I'm maintaining, so I need to learn how to cope.
I have been doing a bit of DIY today, and then decided to walk to the boys' school to meet them, rather than the usual drive I do. It was such a lovely day, and I really enjoyed it. It was about 2 miles in all.
Annie, my best friend did the Cambridge Diet (she's done Lighterlife, Go Lower, etc.) and had a big loss of around 5 stone. It is effective for fast, large weightloss, but she found that as soon as the diet plan stopped, she was unable to maintain the loss, and the weight went back on very quickly.
I imagine it's success is down to how you maintain, and adjust your eating habits once you stop the meal replacements. I have previously done Slimfast, and lost 2 stone rather quickly, using it in a similar way, but keeping my evening meal strictly to 500 cals or under. Once I stopped the slimfast though, and tried to eat normally, the weight went on really fast, hence I'm here again!
Good luck, and let us know how you're getting on, and how you find the diet plan. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Hi guys, great losses coming in, done super fit and super abs tonight, but after reading missy's post i think i shouldv'e taken a rest day.
linz, well done on doing sculpt and pump, those bingo wings will be gone soon, i feel the same sometimes wish i could wake up and be perfect. I have set little goals, like i have a ring that got too small for my finger i would love to wear it again, it nearly fits :j

Sary glad you had a good day today. TOTM will do that to you everytime-do you take iron supplements? I start two days before I'm due and continue for two days after. I suppose it wouldn't harm to take them all the time-I just never have...mmmm, thinks maybe she should.
Annie I'm sure the choice you make will be right for you. My cousin did a soup and shake diet (Im not sure if it was CD) but she lost something like 14stone in about 5 or 6 months. She is working very closely with her doctor though so she has had alot of maintenance help. I remember spending a week end with them many months ago where she was sitting on a two seater sofa on her own with no extra space around her...she went for a walk whilst we had lunch-I saw her a few weeks ago and she asked me to bring her one of my cupcakes as she deserved a treat. She had half and shared the other half with DS and she is now smaller than I am. Shes been off the shakes and soups since about Christmas.
Debaz10 not sad at all-very lucky if you ask me.
I'm off to bed now (or sofa-DF has not been sleeping well so Im on the sofabed),so I might watch desperate housewives now rather than tomorrow afternoon.
Goodnight0 -
I had an absolutely rubbish day today, felt sad upset and annoyed, the works really so i scoffed a McDonalds for tea, despite feeling guilty for every bite of it...

well this how yesterday turned out . . .
should have been
weetabix, milk, maple syrup and oj
cn cornflakes, milk, apple
cup soup
chicken pasanda, rice and flatbread(AH kit), glass tom juice
and turned out as
weetabix, milk, maple syrup and oj
half a sarnie, couple of crisps, glass oj
chicken dopiaza, rice, naan, poppadum, onion bhaji, chips
oops. got dragged into a meeting at lunchtime to meet a customer and had to have lunch. Fortunately the sarnies had been cut into fairys so i could just have 2 quarters and not look odd. Then got home ready to cook my reasonably healthy tea and the meat had gone off. I must have looked ready to burst into tears cos i'd had another heavy day at the office so oh bought us a takeaway curry. I went for a reasonably healthy curry and resisted the urge to hoover up all the leftovers so kind of a result.
Todays plan . . .
THURSDAYcocopops, milk and ojcn cornflakes, milk, applecup soup2 vegeburgers and savoury rice, tom juice
some interesting snippets of people's lives on here that's interesting to read. I'm really quite ambivalent about hte whole wedding thing. can't imagine anything worse than being looked at ALL DAY by everyone. i suppose i like the idea of marraige but don't like weddings! we were watching the last ep of last on mars from the first series last night where they're at the wedding reception in the community centre. When i was a kid i went to loads of weddings like that. These days everyone seems to go for sit down meals in a really posh hotel, live bands, carriages limos . . .it's no flippin wonder the country is drowning in debt is it?0 -
Morning:D woke at 6.30am sweating with a hypoglasemic numbers down to 2.4 so bad that I ate 4 choc biscuits and two quality street to get hte numbers back up again so will have to work some today to get those cals gone which I intend to do:rolleyes: the choc tastes awful when you are in the middle of a hypo, no pleasure there then and for breakfast double yuck, makes you feel awful:rolleyes:0
