WOW at all the losses reported tonight. And I think I'm getting somewhere with those recipes...haven't created my own but have found a few I think might work-just need to bake some and see.
Vix you asked for it...my dad is partner of a company called Eurozulu (if you look on my blog, there's a link with the description "Eurozulu-Dads new office", they do game and diving safari's aswell as what is known as "turtle tours". He's very attached to the elephants in the parks he works in and uses them as an excuse to stay at home:). When Matt (yes, my fiance is also Matt) proposed to me, we were expecting to get married in home office and we had all made our peace with that. But his family is all here and are expecting a big function...but then my younger brother got married and it was a lark...he had his guests pay a deposit to attend his wedding! And he set the date in high season knowing that my dad would not be able to attend. My stepsister got married in 2001-my dad paid for it all, but then did the video and photo's whilst her dad walked her down the aisle. My older brother then got married here in London a few months later-but knowing dad was skint from the other wedding-didn't tell him until after the fact (they married in home office). So the jist is that my poor old man has raised four kids, married off three and had nothing to do with any of them really. So I have bought my fabric to make my dress and plan to make my cake...and Im collecting odd bits of crockery from charity shops and freecycle etc to put together a bit of a victorian tea party/picnic for our wedding...but I really want my dad to be there. Then it's a bit like the cat in the cradle coz my dad moved in with my stepmother in 1991-proposed two years later but didn't get married until 2005;)One of us kids was always in need so it just kept getting put off-runs in the family see:o

Gives me extra time to lose some weight anyway.

I've stuck to my meal plan today completely, really chuffed about that. But not much walking -a few blocks or so. But I have a bit of a distance to walk tomorrow so it's been a nice bit of rest today

    Hello all
Well all is changing for me because I have taken the plunge and started the Cambridge diet. I was blundering along and in fact had still stayed the same weight but was simply not motivated. I did warn you all before that my diet history always hung on a thin thread and I think it was the scale problem that threw me (if you remember my scales were wrong and I though I was over a stone lighter than I was) I have not exercise for weeks now but I know now that I must not set myself to unsustainable goals. I am aiming for x2 times a week. Today was my first day and although I felt totally rubbish earlier I now feel better. I am hoping for fast weight loss that keeps me on the right track. I keep failing but hope that spending @@!!!@@@@ £ a week will simply be something I can't waste.
Wish me luck and I hope I will still be welcome here. I will not compete with losses because my diet is not the same as everyone elses and it would not be a fair comparison.
    Wish me luck

Annie, I did the cambridge diet last year. Only managed a month on it before I caved in, you need willpower of steel I think. I had good losses the first 2weeks, 8lbs and then 5lbs, but I didn't loose anything for the 2weeks after that, and I was like SOD THIS, munch munch munch!

    Good luck !

I always try to take one full recovery day per week, given that it's training plus adequate recovery that helps improve your performance :) If you haven't recovered completely from your last workout (or last series of workouts) then part of the next one will be wasted... you can end up with 'diminishing returns' (especially if you are doing the same or similar workouts because your body will adapt quite quickly to them, making them less effective as time goes on). If you are doing strenuous exercise, then leaving it 48 hours or so once a week really does let your body catch up with the recovery process :)

There is no need to get an attack of the guilts, instead be confident that the extra rest is part of the plan - setting you up to be stronger and make fitness gains! Hope this makes sense.

BB - sorry to hear it wasn't quite straightforward with your OH, glad you've got him back now :)
Missy that is fab advice thanks so much. It makes complete sense. I guess I should have a rest to make sure I am working to the max everytime I do a workout. Will there ever become a time when I could do something every night though? I don't like to leave days out because I feel like I get out of sync...and I know I shouldn't but I do feel guilty for not exercising. Andys only been training for about 4 weeks now and his body is looking sooo trim and fine! He's got his v's back...you know the sexy obliques bit on a man..and I'm so jealous...I know I should be proud, but I have been slugging it out for ages now trying to trim down and tone up...and as soon as he started playing footie again he joined in on a few of my fitness dvds and goes for a jog with me, and is looking hot right away...! No fair
Phewww....theres that rant over. I know I should be proud of him, and I am really, it just gets me down a bit when he seems to have overtook me. Now Im seeing it like a competition, and I so didn't want that to happen.
I want things to happen overnight, I want to just wake up in the morning, with washboard abs, and no bingo wings....a pert little bum  and slim slender thighs, But I know thats not going to happen. I am so tempted sometimes to try these STUPID diets, that I know are stupid and don't work, that promise lose half a stone in 3 days. So many a time I have looked at that Juice Master diet by Jason Vale...evil evil evil! I know that the best most sensible and healthy way of losing weight is to eat right and exercise, I just want it Now!!!! Does anyone else get like this?
On a brighter note, or maybe not if I should have rested tonight, I have done Davinas super sculpt and super pump.
Desperate Housewives calling now, so I will catch you all later, sorry for the whinge!
