Vix thats cool, we have had nesting blackbirds in our hedge before, we currently feed around 12 blackbirds, about 30 sparrows and loads of starlings, are garden is a haven for them :) Our favourite blackbird is called greedy, as he got quite fat a couple of years back and now he chases all the other birds away so he can get his fruit :rotfl: I love it when the baby blackbirds are about, we once rescued one but it died a week later from a broken leg :(

BB, i will listen to my body, just now its doing ok with a daily workout, better than doing nothing at all like before :) I'm definately getting fitter as the Tae Bo workout was easy last night.

Button Twinks hobnobs is half the reason I'm in this mess:DI have always made them in huge amounts and they never last-but I WILL find a substitute (already found a less sugary icing sugar for the cupcakes).
Vix (says she jumping up and down waving arms to get noticed) me too. I refuse to get married until my dad can afford to leave the elephants at home alone long enough for me to plan something decent here.
Your post about the birds made me homesick. Before my dad started his business he used to feed the birds at our home on the lowveld...we had starlings by the dozens every year and what we called hoepoes (must go look up the name for them-or maybe just phone dad). They came back every year and when I fed them for the last time before I got on the plane...I counted 37 of them. We used to pack pinecones with something we called "bonemeel"(pronounced bonemeal) which was basically just the shavings off the butchers floor after he'd done carving and mincing for the day-really messy and smelled but-but the birds loved it.

BB: So im not the only one living in sin!!! Are you engaged? totally thought you were married!!
Yes, it's shocking isn't it:D . No we are not engaged. My OH is not a man who does things quickly, shall we say, though is very good at telling me in private how much he loves me:smileyhea And we have only been together a few years. Also he is tres skint due to redundancy a few years ago (though I'd only want a frugal wedding anyway) and shy of public occasions and being the center of attention for him is:eek: . The answer would be 'yes please' if he asked though...and I hope he does some time...

Polkadot - I'll let you know what the dr says to me.
nnm - thats want I meant - I think you are making the best judgement for you at the mo re the exercise.

I have made it part of my new PLAN to make sure I do the dvd every night, Andy says this is too much and that I should have a break for at least one night, but I feel bad when I dont exercise. Its getting quite addictive!

I always try to take one full recovery day per week, given that it's training plus adequate recovery that helps improve your performance :) If you haven't recovered completely from your last workout (or last series of workouts) then part of the next one will be wasted... you can end up with 'diminishing returns' (especially if you are doing the same or similar workouts because your body will adapt quite quickly to them, making them less effective as time goes on). If you are doing strenuous exercise, then leaving it 48 hours or so once a week really does let your body catch up with the recovery process :)

There is no need to get an attack of the guilts, instead be confident that the extra rest is part of the plan - setting you up to be stronger and make fitness gains! Hope this makes sense.

BB - sorry to hear it wasn't quite straightforward with your OH, glad you've got him back now :)

well im the woman to speed things along bb :D

I love wedding talk, im heavily into this at the mo. My parents, matt and myself were discussing wedding rings only today. My fathers wedding ring cost 10 pounds and my mothers cost 10.50. My mothers engagement ring was 30.50... this is like 41 years ago though.

So i take it i'll be on first refusal for bridesmaid duties? being that i am your adoptive neice.

polkadott: i dont get you. Youre living in sin and your waiting for your dad to do something in order for you to plan something decent? Might need to dumb it down for me polkadott! Bonemeal sounds lovelly :p Glad im not the only one who likes birds, i like pigeons too!

Dear adopted niece . I think you are the very woman I need to speed things along.
I do however have an 8 year old honorary neice who might consider it was her rightful place to have first refusal, but I'm open to negotiation:D . I think you would probably come out on top if it came to fisticuffs.

Beanie - Gretna would suit OH, but only if it was down the road...

Missy - very helpful advice re the exercise/rest discussion.
I think OH's op was similar to yours last year and becasuse it was keyhole, means he has good time to recover in time for new job: very timely.

AIWTDIS - 1lb isn't bad given you have been eating this week. It would be lovely if most of it stayed off wouldn't it.
